Can we really be shocked that Activision's Diablo spin-off is a microtransaction-stuffed con? God, that company is deeply corrupt and vile, huh?

Aw, I wanted to thank god for you. :( (Seriously, though, thank you for continuing to bedevil ABK. I'm continually amazed at how much lower they can sink.)

Even if people insist gatcha mechanics aren’t gambling, they still be design prevent you from just purchasing an item. Even if you’re okay with micro transactions, gatcha actively tells the customer “No, you don’t get a choice.” And before people bring up booster packs for trading cards, there is one specific difference: I can trade those cards, I can’t trade a green level helmet in a game because the developers didn’t think to allow players to trade crap.

Also, random distribution serves a mechanical purpose in physical products, so that they all get sold or handed out. Digital unwanted stuff just gets ignored.

I'm gonna be real, I'm surprised in that I didn't think they'd go so full hog as to how they have. Then again I guess if you don't face any real repercussions you have zero reason to stop.

Come on, you had a golden opportunity to name the video "Diablo Immoral" and you missed it? I am disappointed.
