Jim, put someone on retainer. Your time is better spent investigating Digi Homicide's actions than arguing with them.
Keep developing your random stuff as you are an artist as well as a critique. I like the last Squirtyplay, but there's nothing wrong with your random stuff.

They're not, nor were they ever.
Absolutely shocking. I can understand people getting upset if they put a lot of effort into something and someone comes along and just says "that's shit", but constructive criticism is completely different. You can't mass produce "shovelware" and expect to be critically acclaimed. Like you said it requires an incredible amount of time and effort to produce a quality game (or any product). It's crazy how far this thing has gone on.
