Serious Sam: Shatterverse - Dimensional Disappointment (Review)
I reviewed Serious Sam: Shatterverse. It's stunning in its complete lack of ability to justify itself. A wasted opportunity and the most tenuous use of the "roguelite" label I've ever seen.

Could it be that there is a "by" too much in that sentence, or am I just reading it wrong?: "Whatever randomization occurs within a map escapes perception, and while higher difficulties add more unpredictable enemy spawns, by you’ll have run through the same old shit too many times to care by then. "
Damn. Truly wasted potential there. Seems like they just wanted to ride the "multiverse" and "rogue-like" trains without understanding why those elements can be great. (And published by Devolver no less?!) Thank you for putting up with this mess and telling us to watch out, Steph. 🙂
