Dead Island lurched so Dying Light could parkour. While history has placed it in the shadow of its successor series, Dead Island has more going for it than many might assume. It's a game with genuinely dark horror elements, a great central premise, and some incredibly underrated sound design... even if it's also very, very flawed. I loved this video! Wanted to leave a comment encouraging more of this sort of content. Its weird to me how even bad old games look better and better each year. I cant tell if new ones are actually just that bad or if im just getting old and dogmatic haha

That bit about the diabetic needing insulin hits me. I'm a type 1 diabetic. I know what it's like to have your blood sugars so high. People often think you'll just run around a lot being Hyper. No. Oh far from it. You see that stage is around 13 - 15 mmol. Which isn't that high. I'm talking above 30, which is where it starts actively damaging your soft tissue organs. Like the back of your eyes, which is why I'm going to go blind one day. Off track. Still having blood sugars that high you can become sluggish. It feels like someone has literally coated acid over all your muscles and everything hurts. Your need for any liquid gives you an unquenchable thirst. Everything you do drink you'll piss out in less than half an hour. Imagine being trapped not able to get to your insulin. The one thing that'll cure the dire pain you're in...
