Ok thats it Steph, I am out. Long time Patron but this idiocy level anti-ai-extremism is just too much. If you actually equate what Sandfall and Larian did to what games like Arc Raiders, Alters, CoD or BF do, you simply are no longer useful as a source for critical commentary. Fuck AI, but thats no excuse to leave your critical reasoning in Coat check.

Good compromise regarding Expedition 33 versus other games. They put out a statement saying the game used pre-existing assets from the Unreal Engine marketplace that weren't created with AI, then go on to say some artists experimented with them for placeholder textures which were removed within 5 days of release because they were missed during the QA process. What I don't understand is why use those textures in-game in the first place? We have had placeholder textures for DECADES and they blatantly stand out against all other textures for a reason (the classic purple and black squares texture is the example most people will remember). I'm damn sure that a texture that used standard existing placeholder texture standards would not have been missed by QA. Not only does this mean they allowed AI to slip in to their game and the full release but they also made the job more difficult for those QA'ing the game. I just don't get it. AI as it stands does nothing other than waste our drinkable water, jack up our energy prices, and steal human creativity. It's trash and so is using it even in an experimental manner if that experiment made it in to the game.

I love the Ball x Pit music so much. I continue playing it just to hear Heavenly x Gates followed by the boss fight with The Lord of Owls. I did get the soundtrack, but the way the game mixes the music with progress in levels makes it special
