Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition - A Storm In A Port (Review)
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition came to Nintendo's platforms and I reviewed the sad thing. The Switch 2 version is quite a downgrade from what one should reasonably expect, not looking very good despite being marketed on its visuals.

At this point, is there even a reason to buy a Switch 2? As someone who never got the original Switch, everything I've seen about the thing has pointed firmly to "No"
I'm actually really liking my switch 2. Playing it a lot. Mostly my backlog switch 1 titles, as they've had a significant improvement due to better hardware. No more 'supposed-to-be-30-but-actually-about-15-fps'. Plus many of the new switch 2 titles are actually very good ports. Like Star Wars Outlaws. But then there's the slop S2 upgrades which are just awful, and should have been better. Fortunately, honest reviews point those out before we spend money...
The game doesn't look good on the Switch 2 because the Switch 2 is not a modern piece of hardware. Let's see how this game looks on a PC.
This game originally released in 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The reason it doesn't look good on Switch 2 is because it's a bad port (they shoved the Switch 1 version over with a framerate bump instead of doing a proper Switch 2 version), not because the Switch 2 can't outpower PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
