State Of Sterling: Monday Is Coming
Hello you lovely patrons!
It’s a bit of a mild migraine day today, so I won’t make this a mega long update (note: it turned out way longer than I planned). Let’s just get to the important part right now…
A new video script is written, and the band (Zilla) is back together. Stephameat’s back on the menu!
Life is still incredibly busy and I have a ton of writing work continually on my docket, but the current plan is to have the video done and published by this coming Monday. The script’s not exactly a groundbreaking subject, but it feels needed. The game industry has only gotten grosser since I went on hiatus, and I’ve got a lot of poisonous resentment to flush out of my system (preferably all over the face of Android Wilson). I’m expecting this episode to be cathartic. It’s at least rather poetic.
With y’all’s approval, I would like to approach future video work more flexibly rather than jump immediately return to the “never miss a Monday” mindset. At the very least, I’d prefer to ease back into a schedule for a few reasons. I want to engage with this job in a healthier manner than I’ve done for the past ten years, because I do not have another decade of that schedule in me! I never practiced what I preached when it came to crunch and overworking, and it was a pretty ill-advised thing to do to myself. I also think being able to take more time on videos will result in better ones. This is especially true at the moment, with my work in games writing keeping me very busy, and you deserve to have videos that aren’t rushed out of the gate because I’m pressed for time but still have to pull “content” out of my ass by Monday morning.
Case in point - I wrote this new script over a two week period, fleshing it out as the thoughts came to me. I didn’t force myself to have all the ideas first and put them into words over the course of a weekend. The script is consequently much better written, I think. It’s hardly a revelation that taking more time leads to better work, I’m simply taking my own advice at last.
In other areas of work, my writing is a lot slower than it used to be. I’m still literally the fastest writer I know - my particular brand of ADHD’s lone benefit - but compared to five years ago I take far longer to finish a draft of something. Where I used to write a review within one hour, now I’ll draft one over at least a day, taking more time to consider my words. The finished product is undeniably better, containing far more thought and nuance than what I used to put out. The only part of my working life that hasn’t changed in this way is The Jimquisition - my scripts haven’t had the chance to evolve alongside my other writing.
Like I say though, this is all pending your approval. I read all the comments to these posts and I do my best to follow how y’all respond to my work in general, so if it turns out that most supporters prefer the old routine, or if the results of taking more time just aren’t evident, then I’ll adapt accordingly. You all allowed me to have this career, and you all allowed me to take such a needed but lengthy sabbatical, so you deserve to have these videos done in the way that ultimately serves you all best.
Regardless, December is about to kick off so you’re guaranteed at least three videos anyway! As well as the newly written episode, we shall of course be doing the Jimquisition GOTY Awards and the Top Ten Shittiest Games of 2025. I know a few people were concerned about those two videos (one more than the other), but I’ve always been 100% committed to making sure they got done.
Well… I say they’re getting done, and they are, but they might not be Jimquisition Awards this year. One thing I know for sure is that they’ll be presented in glamorous High Stephinition!
… or more likely Hi-Steph because we there’s no way of writing the full word in a way that doesn’t look bloody awful.
We’ll see how things go, anyway. That’s what I like about the upcoming return to videos - we can really fuck around and toy with ideas now. We don’t have any of the stakes or pressures that others on YouTube do, and I want to really lean into having nothing left to lose on the platform. As I said in the last blog post, the “Jim Sterling” channel is essentially undead - a corpse by every YouTube metric but nonetheless animated thanks to your funding. This basically makes you digital Necromancers.
I’ll be totally honest and say I’ve not always been relishing the thought of making YouTube videos again. Being a “content creator” has long been a soul crushing, negatively reinforcing endeavor, and any ambitions I may once have had in that area were dusted years ago. By the same token, however, no matter how badly the algorithm buries the videos and how low the subscriber count drops, the show doesn’t lose money so long as it still has the supporters who believe in what it does.
This, by the way, is one of many reasons why spreading a rumor that I’m utterly destitute is really fucking dumb. After my last blog post, I was informed that this is what the Nerdzis are spreading around, which is bizarre. People want to think that YouTube’s metrics directly reflect the rest of my life, and take pleasure in mocking a fictional suffering version of myself. This is despite an amazing group of patrons ensuring the show has never been a loss, and the fact I’m literally never not working.
It’s a surreal thing to work on some of the most successful indie games of recent times while randos call me a washed up failure.
Anyway, I want to make a point that using poverty to attempt to debase someone is pretty fucking sick. I’m no less offended by it being bullshit than I would be if it were true. It’s a gross thing to revel in either way, and it amazes me how anyone doing that could think they’re morally in the right.
With that self indulgence out of the way, I must of course thank you all again for the continued support. For a while after the YouTube channel first went sideways, it really was a struggle, a psychological blow that fucking hurt. Even at the lowest ebb, however, you stood by the work I was doing and ensured it could stay successful independent of any metrics. I’m still deeply disillusioned with “content creation” as a career, but when it comes to repaying your support with my videos and writing, I am as grateful as ever that I get to do that for you.
And honestly, the foundation for my continued living that y’all provide is something I can’t express enough thanks for. Writing for games is risky and inconsistent and under threat by AI. YouTube is constantly harming anyone trying to make a living from it and becoming actively hostile to video makers. That you have been here, funding my endeavors purely because you like what I do, allowing me to operate without these factors dictating or compromising my work, is something I still have to pause and think “holy shit” about sometimes because… holy shit.
Y’all are the best Necromancers I could ask for!
Monday is coming.
Love,
Stephanie.

Take your time, I'd hate to see you spread yourself too thin.
Not sure where else to put this but thankyou for the latest ep of BFS. I'm so happy to keep supporting this weirdly heart-warming nonsense.
I miss the Monday videos since I don't think anyone else is adequately filling the space of calling out these shit companies but I fully support not being burnt out and actually looking forward to what you're making much more. I loved some of the recent video essays on games you were really passionate about and am happy to see whatever it is you want to make. Focus on your mental and physical health. Whatever you decide to make (and whatever schedule that is on) can only be better by doing so.
Take your time! As much as the weekly videos was something I'd look forward too, knowing that someone is prioritizing their health and creative process is far, far more important :)
While I've missed the weekly vids, I wouldn't want them at the expense of your health and mental well-being.
I reckon you could turn out some excellent video essay type stuff focusing on specific topics, you'd fit right in with the best. It might give you a more forgiving scheduling mindset too. Of course, what makes us happiest is you doing what's best for you 💜
I firmly believe that a reasonable and non-burny-outy schedule is best. I won't lie, I HAVE missed the Monday Jimquisition, but I do not want it at the expense of your health or well being. However if you can do it well, I support it. What I am trying to say is Thank god for Commander Sterling!
I'm much happier if you're thriving as best you can than I would be if you were doing crunch again, even if a more relaxed schedule meant you only put out one new video a decade (though I would miss your content if that were the case!). I've always liked your videos with especially high levels of research and/or consideration best anyway, from the positive game reviews (hyped for your upcoming GOTY awards!) to the deep-dive content analysis (I loved the Mouthwashing through a disabled lens video so much!) and the journalistic stuff (the addictive cost of videogame monetisation is one of the all-time best non-fiction videos I've ever seen!), so I'd be delighted to see more of those. But also, no pressure - if making that kind of thing isn't enjoyable for you, then do whatever makes you happy! It might also be worth considering YouTube Shorts as a format for some of the industry news stories where there's not much to add in response beyond "wow, that's abusive and terrible, something something capitalism bad" if you still want to highlight them via video, but in a much less labour-intensive manner. I already listen to Podquisition regularly, so I tend to get the TL;DR that way, but I imagine some folk may prefer/need the video medium. (Thanks for always having high-quality subtitles on your YouTube videos, btw - much appreciated!) Unrelatedly, I hope you got the Ekans pin I sent to your PO box a while back! :)
Glad you're doing well! If a relaxed production schedule helps you, then you'll find no opposition here. My support here is for you as an artist generally and not tethered to any specific creative output or expectations. You've given much to my life through your work and your public messaging about mental health, disability, and gender identity. I trust your judgment about how that work is best made and what is best to maintain a good standard for your own well being. I'm excited to see what you have underway!
I think it's perfectly fine to switch to a bi-weekly, or maybe even monthly format. Weekly is a lot and you should focus your creativity in other areas
Personally I'm way on board for slower output. A healthier Steph is great, more time to make better and more considered scripts is great, less crunch in the world is great, it's all great! Also from a personal end, generally there is so much stuff being made that I'm perpetually behind on everyone's videos, so I've never really needed someone to be doing it weekly. Much rather know they're enjoying doing it
Take all the time that you need. (Even if i can't imagine even better videos, i love listening to them regardless, but anyway.) You've done so much valuable work for the people in the industry and provided me with so much good company while walking around woth the baby, i'm grateful already anyway and won't quit being here. Good luck and good health. Fuck Youtube, rise up dead channel. (This comes from a Hunt:Showdown saying. Not that the channel is actually dead.)
I’m here to stuff my face with popcorn while watching the industry get the ”Sterling treatment” it so badly needs. But there can be no such thing without you in good health; you only have the one mind and body. So make sure you do not hurt yourself.
Wasn't it you that said something along the line "No game is worth sacrificing the dev's health to make"? It's been a while, so i'm not sure. Either way, i think the same applies to your videos, take the time you need to make them.
I'm down for whatever you need to do. The Jimquistion crew make the world a better place, but you don't work for me, so I'll be happy when something finds it's way to my screen. I consider my tiny donation a credit installment I'm paying for the hours and hours of content you guys have already provided. x x x
Do what's best for you, I don't need a stephquisition every monday, just whenever you want to do one. I'd be fine with the brutal moose/ashens approach of...uploading twice one month, then not at all for 6 months, then once a week for a month, then a twice decade later. every new upload is a pleasant surprise. You never expect it, but you are happy when they pop up.
I'd rather you take your time and enjoy what you're doing instead of feeling like it's an obligation. Looking forward to new episodes however!
As a true believer in the necessity of your work, I am really glad to support you no matter the rhythm and pause you need to impose on yourself for balancing your wellbeing and your videos and reviews. How could I object, then, when you get to raise the quality of said work by your own standards? I am glad that your channel and your reviews are a bastion of critical thinking in the age of literally mindless slop propaganda.
I look forward to it, of course! As other have said, one good video made with actual passion beats several that were made only as an obligation. I’m glad your writing docket remains full as it’s clearly something you’re enjoying a great deal.
Chiming in to add the quality over quantity. It does feel like you used to have tighter scripts that got the point across, instead of repeating yourself a bunch. I have still always enjoyed your videos all the same, but if I had one critique that I think would help things it would be that. I am also really looking forward to the rebrand! It's been LOOOONNNNGGG overdue. I figured it was for worry over losing what little views you still had going, but certainly at this point fuck the algorithm and youtube and just go for it. I would rather you be your authentic self, rather than trying to placate some stupid algorithm. I need that High Stephinition injected into my veins
I say quality over quantity in the midst of endless content churn
Steph, please take all the time you need. Your mental helth is way more important than a video. If you want to get less regular with the videos but still make them, why not a longer form monthly bi-weekly bigger topic type video? It makes me so happy for you that you are doing your dream job, honestly it does. Monday can wait, your physical and mental health can't. If you are interested in a giving an interview or something like that, I can reccommend a few leftist channels that would be interested in your story and what you have to say about the industry.
I'm 100% in favour of a healthier approach to content creation! Take your time--it'll be worth it in more ways than one.
All I've wanted was for you to take breaks and holidays when you need them - consider this a hearty approval of any schedule changes you need to make! I forget though: have you thought about pitching to Nebula? While I can't say I'm a fan of having your videos behind a paid service only, doing both like some creators might help the psychological blow of youtube hurt less. That, or just hosting your videos on your site yourself.
From what I’ve heard about Nebula, they don’t accept pitches and trying it pretty much guarantees you won’t be accepted. They’ve not asked me at any rate, and I doubt they will. I don’t imagine I’d fit in with what they do. If they ever did contact me, I’d certainly have the conversation, but now that I’m doing a dream job I’m not looking to grow as a video maker. Videos are nowadays for my existing audience, and YouTube merely serves as a convenient common platform (for now). Plus it won’t be as fuck bending the rules to snapping point on Nebula as it will on YT 😁.
While I've always looked forward to watching your videos. I'd rather you take the time you need. You've always been an incredible word smith and if taking time makes you better... I can't wait... but I will so long as you're not rushed to complete them. You are an amazing individual. I do hate the term ai for AI because it's not intelligence at all. It's just Artificial Regurgitation. It can't come up with something new... ever. Which is why people need to ne at the heart of creation. Keep up the amazing work. Thank God for you.
For sure, I’ve said so also. There is no intelligence, no thought, no actual ability to speak of. We have to work within the commonly understood terms for readability’s sake, but I do treat the term like I do “AAA.”
Absolutely take whatever time you need. Neither of us wins if you burn yourself out or even just feel pressured to turn in work you aren't completely happy with.
If taking more time off from videos gives us more of that hot, sticky, sweet Extra Large Boy Johnny sausage....you can be on hiatus forever! The more consistent drip feed of BFS has been a shining light in my life and I get genuinely giddy when a new episode appears. Thank you for all the romper-claden, excrement covered, beanie-propeller wearing boys in this world and thank you for all that you are! ❤️
Bless you 😁.
I'd be grateful for a return to any frequency of videos that is greater than 0! Your health should always come first. I'll keep supporting you regardless. When I'm sick I'll play your playlists on loop and pass in and out of consciousness to your commentary. I especially enjoy the squirty plays/greenlight stuff just because I always enjoyed you bashing the ridiculously bad games or just giving up entirely and telling us about D&D instead. Sometimes it makes for a peaceful weekend too, just nap all day and wake up to a different Steph video intermittently. Thank you for continuing to think of us and this time, make sure you prioritize your health and wellbeing.
Sending so much love to you Steph!!! It may be small contributions every month, but I genuinely feel pride to be part of your Necromantic Legion! You have consistently put out amazing work over the course of the 10 years of independent work and the work that got me into you over at the Escapist. Your wit has only grown along with your tits! I feel relieved you feel comfortable enough with your trust in your audience to be so open and genuinely vulnerable. You are a truly wonderful person and I will continue my support regardless if I see a Monday without your presence in my YouTube feed. If I may though, if the state of gaming discourse ever gets you feeling low I will say that I would love to see you talk about or even review films. At the Escapist if I’m not mistaken you had a side series talking about movies (primarily horror and odd shlock) that was a highlight of that decrepit site. This year was a fantastic year for horror with Sinners, Weapons, and Together just to name a few. I would greatly enjoy hearing your opinions on them! Much Love, Connor/Kara (It’s through your journey I feel comfortable enough to sign with both names!)
Rock those names! And thank you. I’ve definitely considered other subjects, maybe I can have a crack should time ever permit.
To be honest, this is exactly the direction that I hoped you would take, Steph. As much as I miss the weekly Monday vids, having more time to draft Jimquisition scripts will result in better videos, and that's what I prefer. If you want to do back-to-back weeks for any reason, that's fine, but I'll be just as happy with your new filming schedule. Do what's best for you.
Completely support you taking the time each video needs instead of trying to make something every week. The videos will be better for it, and you will definitely be able to keep making videos for longer by reducing the stress. Those are both wins in my book
I will enjoy your content as and when it is released, and I definitely prefer you take enough time for you in the making.
Honestly, yes, take your time on the videos. Of it allows you to experiment more with different ideas, I'm all for it.
definitely want you to take your time and just be ready with stuff when you're happy with it :))
Take your time! Your work is always so enjoyable when you’re able to take your time with it. I love your video essays, so more of those please. Also more of those bizarre interstitial “ads”, though I’m clearly in the minority there!
I wish more people had dug the weird ads, but it is what it is. I’m happy some folks found them entertaining 😊.
Very much here for a Steph who is able to take time to make the videos they want and not feel pressured to rush things out on a set schedule.
Thanks Steph, patron here for over 10 years now (albeit a lowly one). Another person echoing that I’d rather see random inspired videos then anything pressured, treat yourself like the true independent journalist you are, the world needs more people like you!
I find there’s so much “content” to watch and read week to week it’s becoming a job to consume it all. I would love less frequent videos that you get to put more time into. Watching them would be a pleasant moment to sit down and enjoy rather than another thing on the rotation. I have the Pod for that. To be clear I love all the stuff from independent creators I watch but I’m running out of space to explore new things.
I was just about to go to bed here in Germany before a big exam tomorrow, but I still wanted to answer to this as I am as excited as also kinda weary (dunno if it is the best word to describe it, maybe anxious, hesitant, hmm maybe all of the above ^^*). To get to the point: I am really looking forward to the next and all other upcoming videos you will do. I've been a fan for some time now and eventho I don't agree on every little detail I always enjoy the videos, the flavor, the wordplay, you, just overall, it is great entertainment and oftentimes education, definitely not just content in my opinion and it is very much needed in today's YouTube landscape, I think. I also just hope (and that is where the anxious part comes in) you don't put yourself under too much pressure juggling it all. I think the most important thing is health, and that you really wanna do it. But you did say that you want that and you're an adult, I'm sure you can gauge the amount of stress and anxiety you really want to put yourself under for this. And I'm sure other people in your fan base have the same sentiment in mind. That being said: I am so looking forward to your new videos and as for the time in between I can only from the bottom of my heart say "who cares as long as your happy" and also "I already loved your weekly videos, so I shudder to imagine how videos might be if you can 'fuck around' more for and before each one" xD I hope this brings it across, I'm not nearly as good of a writer as some other ppl 😜 but yeah, have as much fun with it as you can, and try to find the joy in it and what you really wanna do with it and I think you have amassed a following that will follow you in whatever direction that might actually take ^^ Omg this has already been way too long xD Good night :3
I appreciate the concern, truly. It means a lot that people care about my wellbeing as well as my videos. Rest assured, I’m not planning to push myself to breaking point. I have a lot to juggle between the industry job, videos, reviews, and family, but I’ve juggled far more strenuous things before. At least most of what I’m doing now is fun and fulfilling rather than simply stressful 😁!
I approve. You should absolutely have a flexible schedule that works for you.
Monday is coming. And so am I. Approved!
Well, consider my percentile of approval granted. I would be lying if I said I havent missed your videos during mondays but more thoughtfully developed videos and a healthier Sterling seems a a win-win to me. The video-essay era is coming? Perhaps. In any case, looking forward to hearing you again. <3
I would suggest going with every other Monday (assuming that availability/creativity/energy allows for this) with occasional as-needed "content dumps" for "high output" events such as year-end close-out season. That said: Follow the schedule that works best for you. Good luck!
Do whatever schedule works best for you. I would rather see videos occasionally than no videos at all after another push for every week leads to burnout or worse.
Whether it's weekly, monthly or whenever you have the time & inspiration, it's all good as far as I'm concerned! I'd rather look forward to the next video for longer knowing you're taking the time you need to make it great, while also being able to take on as much writing work for cool indie projects as they can throw at you. Plus, you know, having a life! 💜
First off, I’m behind whatever schedule and solution that works best for you and your physical and mental wellbeeing. Prioritize that first. Second, I do love the video content. We need some of that honesty in the world, I feel. But the scehdule should be something healthy and sustainable, and not just a metric (and if it can’t be sustained, then I’d rather see you be well than producing videos). I’m delighted to hear about Jimquisition GOTY Awards and the Top Ten Shittiest Games of 2025. I always really enjoy them both, so that’s a nice end-of-year treat.
I will gladly wait for something great. Take the time it takes, so you are happy with the results and happy with your health.
Can’t wait for Monday, I think you should post when ever you want to.
Monday is coming! I can already hear the buzzing sound of the Android Wilson voice and I can't wait. Glad to serve as one of your digital necromancers, Steph. And as for schedule? I think your fans will be fine with whatever you decide. We're just glad to see you taking a healthy approach to things.
Take your time with the scripts. No reason to grind any more than you want to!
If H. Bomberguy can put out one video a year and make it work, you can too! Go for it, Steph - Let's see what you can do when you really cook!
Fuck yeah, Steph says I'm a necromancer! Make what you want to make, you beautiful artist, and don't let the fascists get you down! I personally don't expect "content" from you every week, although I would never say no to more regular BFS, which I've been very happy to see in my feed recently!
Do what you need to do. Happy to keep supporting!
In all honesty, the meat's never been off the menu has it ....
Well, there was that vegetarian phase I had in the early 2000s, but otherwise it’s been a pretty consistent meat festival.
Slower pace would probably be a good call, ye. Not only more time, better writing, less stress, and all the obvious effects that come from that, but also with the topics usually discussed, it can be draining to watch as well, often found myself skipping videos after a while of watching weekly, just due to being fatigued of hearing about the newest horrible thing the industry did, as a personal example. Not sure how widespread this is among the people watching though. Every other/third/fourth week would probably be a better rate than weekly for me as a viewer, and gives more time for quality and rest
I've been following your work since like 2011 before you left the escapist I'm honored to still be able to enjoy your work no matter how much time you take to put it out 💜 always ready for Monday to come
I will say that one thing I noticed when you were in Never Miss A Monday mode, is you were going for twenty minute videos constantly - which often turned into Out Of New Points To Make. Shorter videos, which I'm not happy to suggest given the YoUtUbE aLgOrItHm fellating them right now, would probably have made more sense from a purely metrics perspective and probably enabled punchier formats. Honestly, that may be worth considering for Rapid Comment tapes off any schedule. But taking time to really refine longer form stuff... I mean, look at the reaction to DefunctLand's latest, and that took them I don't even KNOW how long. I do not think Kevin Perjurer is the ideal example either but. I was going somewhere here, and I lost track. Yay for your work.
It's not much, barely anything at all really, but a couple bucks is well worth the art and critique you make. Been watching off and on since the Destructoid days. I even subbed actual money to the Escapist largely because of you, before it got Nazi-fied and most everyone who could ran screaming. I've always appreciated your perspective. The original pasta sauce video was inspired, and you've just kept going, getting better and better. Monday is coming. Thank god for Hi-Stephinition
Hell, I'm a patron of hbomberguy and have you seen his release schedule? Take your time, good things need to percolate to become their best self.
I think an easy pace with videos is fine. I don't want to say better, because what I want is for you to do what works for you, not for me (because I'll like whatever it is you create when you create it).
I think you should do whatever makes you happy and healthy going forward. Ditch the weekly schedule for videos and take your time. I’m happy you’re getting so much writing work.
Monday is coming! I look forward to glorious High Stephanition! I am so glad you're able to step back and have a very well deserved break (even though it sounds as breakneck speeds as ever!). Truly i look forward to the day you post a vacation episode, where you are somewhere in the world you've never been, joint and drink in hand, playing Tomba on a steamdeck and talking about Willem Dafoes ass. Where's the beach episode :P everyone else gets one! ^.~ glad to have you back!
I just joined the Patreon as I realised (after discovering the Jimquisition in around 2017 and watching since then as often as the algorithm reminded me a week had passed...) that I hadn't seen or heard from your channel in months and didn't realise you were on a hiatus. Like others have said, I'd rather have periodic great episodes than see you burn yourself out for a content cycle amidst the AI slopnami. Looking forward to the GOTYs and the ShOTYs, and going to check out the blog to see how much I've missed! Thank God for you!
Another voice for quality over quantity here. If not needing to have a video out every single week means the videos that do are better for it, then that's what I'd like to see.
Personally, I became a Patron because of the issues you raise and highlight, how you present your work and get the message across. Not because of how often you publish. I've been following your work pretty consistently since you first began uploading videos at The Escapist. It has been, and continues to be a hell of a journey. Do what is right for you and the rest will fall into place. Whether weekly, monthly or otherwise, Monday is always coming ✌️
Quality over quantity every time. I support some folks who rarely release content but I appreciate them because of the work they put into making what they produce top notch. Please take the time you need to keep the quality up to your standard without being a drain on your health, mental and otherwise. You are a unique voice in the industry and I appreciate what you do.
Art is better when the artist is free to create what the want at the pace they want. I fully support you finding a more reasonable pace.
Now I've got that scene from 'The Princess and the Frog' of the masks going "Bumbumbumbumbumbumbumbum ARE YOU READY?!" Yes. Yes, I am.
Go get 'em, Commander.
Speaking for myself, I fully support ditching the weekly schedule, especially if the deadline takes away from the quality of the work. Take all the time you need to put out quality writing.❤️
It'd be nice if videos still released *on* Mondays, but the time between videos should definitely be however long you need, or indeed however long you like. I love your work because of its quality and integrity, not its quantity. <3
My love of routine will likely ensure they’ll always remain a Monday thing!
Ultimately, as a long time fan, I just want whatever it is you want. You are the artist and whatever makes you enjoy your art is what makes me happy. I just simply need your voice in my head for as long as possible cussing out the industry for it's hypocritical bullshit. Please don't quit audio/video content entirely. I don't care how long you take to do what you do, especially if taking more time means "better" content (I say "better" because it's perfection in the way it is). And if that makes you happier and you find enjoyment in it then that's all I need. Also, if that means you need to quit "content creation" and we lose your voice online then so be it. It's been a hell of a run and I'll always be appreciative of your work in whatever form I can get it.
I will 100% continue supporting you here even without the “never miss a Monday” thing. Your health is way more important than some arbitrary bullshit, plus the quality of the output would be better, so it’s a win-win. Sending hugs ❤️
I’ve been sub/patron’d to several creators that don’t have more than one or two videos a year sometimes. Speaking for myself, if you find it more physically and artistically more comfortable to space out your stuff, it doesn’t bother me, and I don’t believe the majority of your patrons will either. I guess the one petty request I’d have is for you to continue streaming! Also please consider archiving them on yt or something because I rarely catch them live! Wishing you all the best for the rest of the year, Steph. Thank you!!!
I would very much like to return to streaming. Once the house is finally in order (far too much stuff came with us when we moved and it’s taken a while to get it not looking like a hoarder home), I’m hoping to get a nice streaming setup arranged again.
Hooray for the coming of Mondays! That being said, do what is right for you and your family, Stephanie!
I can't speak for us all, but I for one have no qualms with your slowing the pace of the show to whatever pace makes you the most comfortable. If by removing the weekly deadline, it frees you put out something you are proud of, I fully support it.
I really appreciate everything you do, and glad I can support you and everyone else I do. Wanting people to be destitute is so weird and terrible. I want the creators I like to succeed, and just mostly don't care about the others (or would like those actively harmful to just... stop rather than wanting them to be harmed, just don't want them harming others with their resources.)
Steph I would suggest publishing videos at whatever pace works for you. I'm here for it, whatever the schedule ends up being.
Excited for new videos, and foregoing the "every single Monday forever" sounds perfectly acceptable and much healthier.
I'm definitely looking forward to your (triumphant?) return to taking the Video Game industry to task. As for your schedule, definite go for the one your most comfortable with. If that means every other week or every third week, all the better, as it gives you more time to work on making it better, or more time to decompress after the last one, or both. Burnout is a silent and insidious killer.
Thanks! I've always wanted to be a necromancer!
So glad to see you return and I absolutely love the idea of you taking more time instead of releasing a weekly video.
