Avowed - Shroom For Improvement (Review)
A very disappointing game, this. It gives me no joy to talk about what a limited, hollow RPG this is, and that's to say nothing of the toothless story. Combat's nice though. Hope you like the review!

I'm really surprised how they went from Deadfire to this story, writing, and choice wise. Do we know if the writers were different between the two games? Seems like a really shallow RPG.
Deadfire was written by Carrie Patel and Josh Sawyer. Carrie Patel was the director for Avowed, Josh Sawyer was the director for Pentiment. Make of that what you will.
The most disappointing thing about this game based all the reviews I've read is that the tropes it dully treads in the story, characters and world building are all things that the outer worlds lampoons so hilariously, it's shocking the games came from the same creator
A pity how Avowed turned out. But it was to be expected. Any plans of reviewing Kingdom: Come Deliverance II ?
