Dragon's Dogshit (The Jimquisition)
It couldn't be about any other subject this week. Capcom has taken the absolute urine with Dragon's Dogma 2, its 21 in-app purchases including such egregious paywalled features as fast travel. Given how the game hasn't changed since 2012, this is damn disgraceful.
And it's what Capcom's been getting away with for a long time.

Are we being hyperbolic or are we redefining what "paywalled" means? (Not watched the video yet) The mtx are utter shit, they're also utterly pointless. You get access to it all in game, no mtx purchase needed. To say fast travel is paywalled is untrue. You *can* pay to get one extra portcrystal and I'm not even sure it comes with the ferrystones you need to use it. You get portcrystals and ferrystones as you progress the game and prior to that there are ox carts to travel between towns. Capcom's mtx fucking suck, but let's be accurate about what they are
I’m sorry but “technically you don’t HAVE to buy them” is a weak defence for this crap. Especially since they were not present or mentioned in the review builds that went out. You don’t have to make excuses for capital. You can just point and critique the fucked up shit it does
When in an article a few months ago they talked about the arguments for the lack of fast travel I thouht finally someone was aiming to make traversal interesting so we wouldn't want to skip it, an adventure. I was naive. I don't have personal experience with that company, what ca I say. It was just to sell it later. There go any hopes for that in the future. I hear they also sell the hability to start a new game. Now that's innovation!
