The streamer personality conversation on Nick was actually super interesting. Its actually really interesting hearing the back and forth about Nick being the self-created punching bag. This isn’t uncommon entirely, Chance plays like a total idiot in some moments and the suspense of disbelief whether its true or not is part of what creates some hatethreads about him. The interesting thing about Nick (from my armchair perspective of an ACTUAL nobody/viewer), hearing he sets everything up to be that way, but in his own “flavor” where its not just being “dumb” in moments, I think it may actually be TOO layered… and thats where Nick gets soooo much hate. We cant tell where the genuine ends, and the fun facade starts. ExtraEmily is another good example. She truly plays into it (i think? I dont watch her) SO hard that people just dont know and think shes an idiot. Maybe the hate is justified? Its dunk thread and dunk thread on her though. She gets very fast burning attention but not nearly as sustainable as Nick and Chance’s way of things. Alright. Imma shut up now but i loved this free episode. Damnit.
