Amai Picnic Animation Preview
The next build is shaping up to be huge, with at least 137 new voice lines added to the game! I'm very happy with it!
There's a new animation that might be ready in time for the June 1st build, or might have to wait until the June 15th build. What is it? I'll explain.
Currently, when Senpai and Amai enter the picnic event, they snap into "sitting" animations as soon as they reach the picnic area. This looked super janky and low-quality. When this event is updated with animations and voice lines, you'll see them enter the picnic event fluidly and smoothly. Just check out the video above!
Ahh! I just can't get over how good it looks!
You might be thinking, "Hey, there's a part of this animation that looks kinda jerky..." relax. The animation is only 90% done, it's still being polished, and anything strange you notice will be fixed by the time it's added to the game.
I hope you enjoyed this little preview!

YadereDav Are you planning to add friendship or betrayal animations for Amai in the next two months?
I'm not sure. It strikes me as a huge amount of work - like, my animator will be animating for a month straight to make those animations - and not entirely necessary. To me, the visual novel cutscene is good enough, and actual animations are not necessary. I'll consider it. It might only happen if my animator completes *all* tasks and has *nothing* else to do. Otherwise, I'll ask my animator to work on higher-priority things.
Its very cool to see the animation and the artwork of the characters posted a few days ago. I was wondering if u can answer questions about aishi branches artwork. In the sword branch artwork idk if ur waiting for the profile or not but which one is Katana Aishi. In the scissors branch is the one posted Hasami or someone else? Lastly how many aishis art will be in each branch profile?
In the future, instead of labeling the characters as "1" or "2", I will label them according to their names. "Katana" is "1". The Aishi featured in the Scissors Branch is not Hasami. It's the first Aishi to ever wear European-made clothing. I don't know how many Aishis will be in each branch. It depends entirely on what the artists feel like drawing.
I like it :D I think the animations are pretty fluid, and the food models look really neat too! whoever worked on them did a really good job on them! Hopefully when the update comes out everyone else will like them too. :3 PS, are you planning to stream tomorrow night? I've been pretty excited about it all month, and I'm especially excited to see what the vtuber's gonna look like!
Oh, a stream? I didn't have a stream planned for June 1st. Probably June 24th, 25th, and 30th, but not June 1st. I'm curious, what did you think I was going to stream on June 1st?
so cool
OMG, YandereDev, everything about this upcoming feature sounds incredibly interesting! I have an idea for you that I don’t know if you would like, I started thinking about an concept after seeing the concept of the Chinese soups giving Ayano dreams about the previous Aishis and their pasts. What if, in the future, you added small playable segments or mini-game style sequences that allow the player to experience parts of each Aishi’s story? Maybe Ayano could witness these memories from an outside perspective, almost like reliving fragments of their lives through dreams or visions. I feel like this could be a really interesting and accessible way to expand the background and lore of every Aishi directly within Yandere Simulator itself, without needing to create entirely separate games for each generation of the family. It could also help players connect more deeply with the Aishi lineage, understand how each of them experienced love and obsession in different ways, and make the overall lore feel even richer and more emotional. I’d honestly love to know what you think about this idea!
It's a cool idea, but I have a few thoughts: 1. There is already a feature similar to this called "Dreams" which allows the player to view memories from Ayano's direct ancestors. 2. There are no plans to let Ayano see the memories of her extended family / anyone who is *not* her direct ancestor. 3. Dreams will probably be extremely minimalist, because implementing playable segments in extreme detail would take tons of resources that I currently want to dedicate to the main game, instead.
Yayy it’s great news !
WOOOOW!! I love the detail of the flan moving so smoothly. Really great animation overall!!
Oh I didn't notice that until now. :O I love it too, it's just absolutely perfect!
It's great. Hopefully it's ready soon because I can't wait to see it in game
