Seeking Patron Input
Hey, Patrons!
First, please read this blog post that I just wrote: https://yanderedev.wordpress.com/2025/06/14/important-question-for-the-community/ And, when you're done with that...
The results of that poll will tell me how the "wider Yandere Sim community" feels, but I also think it's incredibly important to consider how you feel; as the people who are supporting me, your opinions carry extra significance to me.
Between these two options, which would you prefer?
I will always release new builds on the 1st and 15th of every month – but there will never be any guarantee that the next build will contain exciting new content.
I will only release a new build when there is exciting new content – but there will never be any guarantee how long you’ll have to wait for the next build to come out.
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I’d like to ask a few lore questions if u don’t mind, about the clubless students in both mode and akedmi in the 90s. 1.) Would u consider the clubless boys (Kyuji, Otohiko, Hazu, and Toga) have any friendship with each other. Or any pair of them are friends with each other (example Kyuji and Toga or Otohiko and Hazu). 2.) Assuming the rainbow girls and boys remained in akedemi the next year and maybe the year after as well have any of them joined club such as the art, gardening, cooking, or science club. These questions pertain to Akedemi in 1990 when there were 240 students. (I find that school year interesting) 3.) I know u mentioned Class 1-3 (Meeting Room), Class 2-3 (Sociology Classroom), & Class 3-3 (Art Room) but I was wondering what were the room they used in the West Wing for 1-4, 2-4, 3-4. 4.) I wanted to ask some of the club information during 1990. Ik the Occult Club doesnt exist anymore and the gaming club hasn’t been made yet where there any clubs that existed at that time like a computer club or sewing club. And with 240 students compared to 90 students how big were the clubs cause im assuming they would be bigger then 5 or 6 members like in either story mode. And if possible the gender ratios of some of the clubs.
1. I guess I never imagined them as friends. 2. I never imagined them ever joining any clubs. 3. I think that the answer would have to be "they only ever used the east wing." If they ever needed a 4th set of classrooms, it was probably in a building adjacent to the main Akademi building. 4. That's a lot of information! I generally don't consider these things.
Hello! I have a few questions. 1. How many modes do you plan on adding besides endless mode? 2. When do you plan on having endless mode come out? 3. Has the artwork for the next Aishi member been completed and can we maybe get a sneak peek? 4. How much more work needs to be done on Amai besides voice acting and do you plan on adding voice lines in the next build?
1. I feel like Endless Mode will be the final mode. 2. I'd probably add it after 202X has a proper ending. 3. No, sorry, not yet. 4. I plan on including *some* Amai lines in the next build. Not all, though. Not even 50% of the required lines have been recorded yet.

So what is ur current thought process of letting Ayano join the bullies and student council? Ik u did a poll I wanna say a year ago at this point and joining both groups were maybe not 1 and 2 on the list but were pretty high. Is there a specific rival u wanna release before adding the feature. Also I can’t ever seem to find the answer anywhere but will Ryoba ever join the delinquents or student council in her mode.
Planning to add it to the game in the future. Ryoba? I guess she might be able to join the council, but probably not delinquents/bullies.
Why did you end up changing your mind about having Ryoba’s sister’s room be where Ayano’s room is now?
In the most recent build (the June 30th build) the door that Ryoba exits from is not logically consistent with the location of her bedroom. (Her window would have been looking directly into another room, rather than the outside of the house.) In the next build, I will re-arrange the locations of Ryoba's room (and her sister's room) so that the location of Ryoba's room makes more logical sense. Sorry for the logic error.
I have another question. How often do you plan on releasing a new Aishi on the yanderesimulator website?
Whenever an artist draws one for me.
Hey YandereDev I have a few questions. 1. How long did the Aishi prescursor live to be? 2. Did she have more than one kid? 3. Did she abandon the first Aishi because she found out she was cursed? 4. Did all the Aishis live to be 122? 5. Will all the generations of the Aishi and their stories be out on the website?
1. The average life expectancy of a woman born in 1780 was 30 to 40 years. For this reason, I'm hesitant to say that the first Aishi was an extraordinarily long-lived woman. She may have lived until around 1850 at the absolute latest. 2. One kid only. 3. You'll find out in the next dream. 4. I'm hesitant to declare this to be canon. The average life expectancy of a Japanese woman born in the 1800s was approximately 35 years. It would be a little silly of me to say that all Aishi are in the 0.000001% of humanity that made it to 122. 5. That's my plan.
Happy birthday!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
These are two extremes I feel. I much prefer that scheduling comes at the games needs so that's what I votes for 'Only when there's exciting content'. However, when enough Bugs or implements are added I think you should upload and write the blog post as well. I don't want a world (exaggerating) where yansim is always looking for the greatest hook for people, you know? I want your vision to come true slowly but surely. Plus, patreon would make more sense for you, if you keep us informes on the 1st and 15th mainly through here
I do like the consistency with an update every 15 days, but… my biggest request is simply that you find the ground of being as productive as possible without overworking yourself. Less updates would be faster productivity, but don’t do it if your health takes a hit
It's just my opinion and also sorry idk how much of works it takes you to do small additions, adjustments, bug fixing, etc... aside from the big stuff so sorry if my following proposition isn't feasible, but here's my opinion still (I'm paying the Patreon follow so I speak up haha) : I think that to keep the majority of people satisfied maybe it could be a good idea to still release update on the 1st and 15th of every months, but those builds would now ONLY (or mainly) be a litteral simple update with basic improvements such as bug fixing, adjusments, etc... And then the big stuff could be dropped whenever you want and or need to. I think this patern could be balancing the things well cause people would still see a regular proof of development, even if it's just correcting stuff, people wouldn't have to wait blindly and goes every single day on the wordpress to see if there's something new when they're encountering a bug that they want to be fixed (cause ik a lot of people could drop the game until a bug that upset them is fixed) - and probably be upset to see that there still nothing and they won't know when it will come - and so for you aside it would be kinda less work because you can mainly focus and the big stuff and other things you wanna do while still keeping your game alive and adjusting it on a regular time to not let an accumulation of bugs or discontentment and annoyance for the fans Here, I'm done !
I gave it some thought and I wouldn't mind either but you and everyone following the games development over the 11 year span has followed the 2 updates per month schedule. It's okay if sometimes you mess up on it or have to delay it for even a few weeks but I don't mind either. Whatever update schedule you choose is perfectly okay with me. I look forward to following the games development more.
The main caveat is if you only do it when you have a big update you could end up having to take two months and especially if there is bugs. Though monthly updates I think would be totally fair. You could go big updates and it can release when ever but then just have a small patch update call them End of Month Bug Fixing Update that would be on the 30th/31st of a month if no big update was made.
I used to choose the "only update when is something big" option, but Now that I'am a sponsor I see the other face of the coin. If a person that pays $100 for their logo to be in-game only see it once per month or sometimes dont even see it in a whole month, its kinda lame, because there will be just a few updates that has their sponsor-logo, so for now I choose the twice update option
I was thinking about this🤔 and i got a good idea if YanDev does do longer updates what if he could possibly add a separate Sponsor Screen were if anyone donated $100 and there wasn’t any updates that month, the next update they automatically get added on the Sponsor screen for that month and it will say Sponsors for that month
I feel like two builds are needed because if keeps the fans captivated waiting for the next build!
I'd say if you're only going to release builds with only exciting updates that you at least still keep in touch with the community every two weeks to show what progress you made!
Please dont stop releasing builds twice a month
I wish there was some way to get a mix of both. Perhaps there could be a monthly gaurantee of at least one build with bug fixes and minor features, while you can save the major ones for as long as needed. That may sound confusing, but I think it would be interesting
