A Few Words Of Thanks
Allow me to start by saying that the next chapter of Kaiju Slaying is finished! It's just not ready to post. I wrote the thing today and it definitely needs an editing pass or two, which I'll do tomorrow.
No, today there are things I need to say, and they need to be said...uhh...two days ago, but the situation at work was metaphorically on fire and as usual that just became my problem and by the time I got home I was so tired I kinda just walked my dog, ate, and passed out.
But let's pretend I git gud scrub and did this on time, deal? Deal.
June the 4th marks the second anniversary of me opening my Patreon/Subscribestar. In that time the medical bills that were making me drown got dealt with and were replaced by a whole other set of bills that came about due to emergencies.
In that time y'all also made it so I had the financial means to semi-comfortably save my dog's life. I didn't need to do that thing that many pet owners are forced to do, and weigh the financial reality of how much they can afford to spend in order to keep their furry baby alive.
This happened twice.
No I haven't gotten her to stop eating random shit off the floor yet. She's gotten better about that but it's still a work in progress. I swear the only thing she's gotten better about is being sneakier so it's harder to detect it and wrestle it out of her mouth.
Dogs. I swear.
In that time I can genuinely and proudly state that I haven't once failed to upload a chapter on a weekend. Yes a time or two I cut it a little close, but I can take pride in that I haven't let y'all down even once so far.
And hell, thanks to y'all, I not only navigated a year where it seemed that every month had its own emergency, but I was able to buy a toy or two and even have some fun in some very stressful times.
So, to everyone here, and especially those fifteen of y'all that have been here from the start. My most sincere thanks. If it weren't for all of y'all, the last two years would have been much harder.
Now, on the first anniversary I took a one month hiatus in order to rest a little bit but uhh...yeah no. I won't be doing that until the Evangelion story ends. We're far too close to the ending for me to make y'all wait a whole-ass month for it. That'd just be a dick move. I might take a break after that story is finished though.
Now! Chapter tomorrow! It's three thousand words, and it reached a good stopping point. One of those stopping points where it's just a good idea to end the chapter and pick it back up later.
Only problem is that uhh...it's a bit cliffhangery? And uhh...yeah...that.
SO! Whichever side story wins the poll? That'll be the one I write, but uhh...I'll write the next chapter of Kaiju Slaying first. Yeah? Then if I can I'll write a chapter of the side story too, but my priority will be finishing up Kaiju cause we're so close man!
So...the side story will get worked on, but it'll most likely get delayed a week. My apologies for that.
So yeah, that's the state of things.
Have a pic of the doggo y'all helped save. Understand, this is the face of a killer. This is what she looked like after she ate a poor gecko that was randomly sun bathing, then came over to me to play 'I'mma pretend to fetch then you chase me around until I get tired.' It's her favorite game.
That's it from me. Look forward to chapter tomorrow, and please, stay safe out there.

Im just here for the doggo pics but in all seriousness congrats and looking forward to
Seconded!
So when you finish Kaiju Slaying, will there be a sequel for it if Shinji hops to a new world with his lovers and maids? Or nah?
The problem with Company stories is that once you get to another 'world' the main character has accrued enough power that there would be difficulty in creating tension. Kinda the same issue that happened with my first WC story, that being Stolen Fate. If I do one, it'd probably be something along those lines, an epilogue after an unspecified length of time showing that there are plenty of adventures the main character curbstomped his way through that, while it makes for an entertaining enough capstone, would make for a poor and rather boring story. Better to end on a high note methinks. Especially when, you know, all of my storyboards have a planned begining, middle, and end. XD
PUPPY! Scritch the doggo.
P.s. you did in fact, Git Gud. Congratulations author.
