Writing Update and Poll Results 23-03-2026

Good evening y'all. Sorry for the late post, was running a Dark Heresy game.

Sssssso! The The winner of the poll with a combined 78 votes, is to do the quest with intermittent updates!

Not now but doing it later got 51.

No cause it's dumb got 21.

And yes but figuring out how to do it all regular-like got 11.

So intermittent updates it is!

Dunno if y'all know MidasMan from Questionable Questing and/or Space Battles. Specifically, for his story "Child of Noble Birth." (Those of y'all from Questionable Questing might recall the Lament of a Noble Born.) But I had a plot bunny, and we got to talking. And the talk may have resulted in him essentially giving me permission to use his character Syllia for my story, purely because he liked the plot I described to him. XD

Said plot essentially being 'What if multiple people reincarnate into Warcraft, and start making plans to stop Arthas after he turns into the Lich King, minimize his ability to achieve anything.' With the complication that Arthas is...well...another person who reincarnated into Warcraft, except he's completely unaware of Warcraft as a setting, he just thinks he died and woke up a Prince, and proceeds to Noblesse Oblige all over Lordaeron, introducing crop rotation and trying to fix Azeroth's understanding of engineering as a concept. With the other reincarnates' (mainly Syllia) machinations causing shenanigans.

So here are the options for the story that would be updated intermittently.

Option the first. Go with the original plan. The story would be a Waifu Catalog story, it would be the story of a Final Exam happening in the setting of Psycho Pass. With the main character navigating that setting through y'all's choices.

Option the Second would be a Worm story. Sort of a spiritual successor to the story Refractions that I was writing with a friend before a career change wiped out any free time he had. The story would essentially start the same. Uber and Leet shenanigans happen, OC/SI with flawed memories overwrites Kid Win's mind. Shenanigans via y'all choosing potential outcomes. ???. Profit!

Option the third would be to write the Warcraft story with an Arthas reincarnator whose plans to uplift Lordaeron are stymied by other reincarnators due to miscommunication and assumptions about canon.

The fourth option, which MidasMan has given permission for, is to do the Arthas story as the quest.

So! I shall put it up to a vote here and at Subscribestar. And next week I'll run the side story update poll.

Don't get too used to these. I don't wanna be playin' my dog for internet points and tips. I dunno, it'd feel disrespectful to her.
