First Playthrough Completed...Now what?
So, you've completed your first playthrough of completing all the storyline special breeding tasks (including Pride's Perfect Demon), unlocked all of the portals, upgraded the essence levels of your barn, and created a handful of perfect nephelym. Now what?
You can continue to create more perfect nephelym... OR ...you can try the following challenges to spice up your next playthroughs of the game!
A) Make a new save in which your Homestead will only have Gigantic-sized nephelym roaming around! Obviously this will take some work, and not really something you can just get from the start, but there are a few ways you can tackle this challenge.
Easy Mode: Enable various cheats to have everything unlocked and essence leveled up, and then just start breeding til you get perfect Gigantic-sized nephelym of each species (or of only those that you like more)
Harder Mode: Don't use cheats at all, and play through that game as you had before, but with the mission to breed and keep only the Gigantic-sized nephelym.
B) Make a new save in which your Homestead will only have Small and/or Tiny-sized Nephelym roaming around! Again, this will take some work, since most nephelym are Normal-sized or taller, so this one may take a bit longer to achieve, and require more patience. Again, this challenge can be tackled in a couple different ways.
Easy Mode: Enable various cheats to have everything unlocked and essence leveled up, and then just start breeding til you get perfect Small and/or Tiny-sized nephelym of each species (or of only those that you like more)
Harder Mode: Don't use cheats at all, and play through that game as you had before, but with the mission to breed and keep only the Small and/or Tiny-sized nephelym.
C) Alternatively, you can also combine the previous two and make a save in which the Homestead consisting of only Gigantic, Small, and/or Tiny-sized nephelym.
D) If you used cheats to help you complete your first playthrough, you can now challenge yourself to make a new save in which you don't use cheats at all!
E) Borrowing this idea from the BotN Discord server chat discussion, but make a save in which you're only capturing wild nephelym with fluids.
Easy Mode: Turn off wild sex, and only use harvested and traded fluids to capture wild nephelym.
Harder Mode: Keep wild sex turned on, so you'll have to complete with other wild nephelym, while only using harvested and traded fluids to capture the wild nephelym.
F) Random thought while brainstorming, but once you've caught your first foxen, play the rest of the playthrough with spirit form on. Some caveats that you can choose to follow or not are:
Use Foxen Spirt Form until you unlock your favorite Spirit Form species, and then switch your Spirt Form to that species, and remain that species form the rest of the game playthrough.
Switch your Spirit Form to the next species you unlock, after you unlock it. IE. Start as Foxen, then switch to Vulwarg once you capture your first Vulwarg, and so forth.
I haven't tried this playthrough challenge yet, so I'm not sure how easy or difficult it would be, but I'm very curious to try it!
