A Prince's Tale v0.6.1a - The Antagonist Update

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the antagonist update, here to introduce to you an exciting new character. This rival prince enters the story now in order to bring a bit more conflict to the game's story, putting light on why exactly the councilors are keen to forge an alliance and strengthen the kingdom's position sooner rather than later.

This update is also the first step to adding a bit more story telling to the game, without it becoming overbearing. Some earlier council meetings have been rewritten slightly to add little tidbits of lore around the other nations of this fantasy world. Now we show that there is more than just the kingdom of Athelon that the story is centered around. The small kingdom is surrounded on other nations on all sides, with the Empire of the Mighty Golden Tower forming a real threat on it's western borders. Stay tuned for the next updates where we will be introducing more other kingdoms through short events in the story.

Besides that, the update also contains the scene requested in the Bonus Scene Poll from last month, a spicy and humiliating scene where you get to join in with Kathryn on one of her late night garden gazebo escapades. Access it by peeping on her at night after finishing all previous events.

In the bonus scene poll, I also added a new scene for Caspar as an option. Even though this didn't win the vote we implemented the scene anyways, it felt a bit boring for him to now move to a new location without any fun stuff to experience. So enjoy this spicy new scene with Caspar at the smithy after you help him find a missing dagger.

In the next update, we will focus on more council events that will have more diplomatic events, showcasing more about the different nearby kingdoms. Potentially, we will also be adding an update for the non-princess path, I realize this is a bit overdue.

• Fixed a bug where working at the brothel or romancing Eve would not be available if you skipped ahead in the story.

  • If you experience these issues, you will have to restart from the skip point again to fix this.

• Introduction of a new character: Prince Imperial Cyrus.

  • There's several new council events that introduce the new antagonistic prince, the events are triggered during your normal council meetings.

  • Note that these new events would normally be triggered earlier in a play-through, so your current character's developments might not fit the context of them entirely.

• New spicy (and humiliating) scene with Kathryn as you get to join in with her and a noble and have a little 'threesome' together.

  • The scene can be reached by peeping on her at night, after which she will offer you this invitation the next morning. You must have completed her previous events first.

• New spicy scene with Caspar at the blacksmith. After offering some help finding a lost object, he will reward you with some alone time in the backroom of the Smithy, where you can test out one of Beau's new toys.

• After transitioning to princess, the dresses and tiara options you did not pick during the princess lessons will now be available to buy at Hyssop's store.

• Added better readability and colorblind support. There's now a Styling menu (accessed in the left sidebar), from which you can change the font color of any character. The implementation is still very rudimentary, let me know what other styling options you would like to see added.

• Removed the highlights from the paper-doll player body, making the skin no longer look plastic.

• Made minor changes to some earlier council events to fit with upcoming lore, and changed the kingdom's name from Avelon to Athelon.

• Added new custom art for naked Rosa and Orson.

• Added a separation between main quests and side quests, hopefully this should make it clearer what needs to be done to bring the story forward.

• Added several "Wait X days" messages that show in the quest log whenever the story requires the player to simply wait some amount of time.

• Fixed an incorrect tooltip for disguised hair styles in the vanity table.
