Roadmap for the next build
Hi guys! Here are our plans for the new build.
Also, in the next couple of days I will be releasing an update for build #1 which will add a new goblin defeat animation and a couple of old animations for tentacles.
The animations will be randomly selected and given that there are not many of them yet, keep in mind that the same animation may appear several times in a row.
The build #2 will take some time to work on, so I'm not sure yet whether we'll release it as a single build at the end of the year (approximately in November) or make builds more often but with small updates. Personally, I'm inclined to make builds with big changes. Less often, but each build will bring more content and new mechanics. It’s just that more frequent builds extend the overall development time, and there’s not always noticeable progress.
But I'm interested in your opinion. What do you think, is it better to make builds more often but with small changes, or is it better to make releases less often but with more content and mechanics in each build?

Bigger updates with more progress is much better. Progress updates definitely keep the pledges sticking around so instead of releasing game updates spam screen recordings of little things maybe? Could be ingame content, or just workshop stuff. Most find that interesting and reminds us of the hard work you are putting in
I'd rather you take your time and make the game the way you want it and take your time to code things to the best of your abilities. A rushed update is a bad update. I favor a longer wait between updates so long as the updates are significant and well made. If you're able to add smaller updates between major ones then great, but don't let it detract from your priorities. It would keep us engaged. At the very least I would expect notifications or progress updates at least once a month. I feel that's reasonable. Perhaps a 3-month cycle (or 4 if it means you can make a better result) is reasonable?
I prefer the more frequent updates, but maybe a way of updating/adding to a current build. Seems like there could be a gameplay loop that would add to the gameplay but not sure how far along game design is.
I second the “wait for bigger content”. Sounds like this is optimal for everyone (except the impatients)
I’m for the bigger updates. If it takes awhile, so be it.
