I wonder about that a lot - whether or not a more "simple" lifestyle is actually more fulfilling everyone or if some of us just need a little bit of chaos to be stimulated. I think about the Sylvia Plath quote about wanting to be a sailor "Yes, my consuming desire is to mingle with road crews, sailors and soldiers, barroom regulars—to be a part of a scene..." Like yeah I feel best when Im on tour or meeting random people at a party. My life feels small and suffocating when I stand still, but like maybe that's just because I'm mentally ill idk
