Is there a way to purchase this tutorial directly? I don’t see it on Gumroad anywhere and I want to give grayscale a try.

S
Sakimi Chan · September 4, 2018

Is there a way to join Tier 4 even though it says it is sold out? If I join Tier 3, is there a way to be upgraded? Thanks!

S
Sakimi Chan · September 30, 2017

Yep! just change the default pledge to $20 and it should be fine. :) I send out rewards based on amount pledged.

Jerry Aw · September 28, 2017

Is this tutorial still available if i just joined patreon now?

S
Sakimi Chan · September 28, 2017

Is the tutorial fit for beginner to learn? Is it similar to Portrait 101 Part 3 Voice over tutorial? Im thinking of getting this term but im having a hard choice at the moment of whether i should pick this or the Portrait 101 pt 3.

S
Sakimi Chan · September 24, 2017

This one might not be for beginner to learn. *_*

Hi Sakimi-chan, may I know how do I submit artwork to you for the group critique session? Also, is there anyway to join the mentorship tier? (though it's full T_T)

Sakimi Chan · September 23, 2017

I'll post the folder where you can upload the file later on. :) Sadly I can't increase the Mentorship right now. :(

hi skimi, Iooking on my rewards i saw that term 47 y 52 had grayscale to color and kimi portait tutorials, whats the diference betweeen this reward and the others that i have?

S
Sakimi Chan · September 21, 2017

this one just talks about both colour from start to painting grey scale first, the kimi one is just grayscale to finish. :)

O
Obscuro Arcanum · September 21, 2017

Another great looking tutorial! The grayscale to colour tutorials that you've done so far have always done something a little differently to convert them to colour, so I'm very interested to see how you do this one.

S
Sakimi Chan · September 21, 2017

thank you. :D

Updating pledge for this! I tried doing grayscale (or grisaille) shading ever since I saw it featured on Pixiv's Pixivision. They said it's faster than normal shading, but MY GOD was it was hard to do when I tried it myself (didn't help that most of the tutorials were in Japanese).

S
Sakimi Chan · September 20, 2017

Haha. that sucks. XD

B
BunniMori · September 20, 2017

Oh! So useful! I was actually wondering how artists do this to try it, very helpful~

C
CJoe · September 20, 2017

Very interesting. I often see artists doing all the work in grey scale then coloring the result. I've tried it once, but always wonder if it's worth the effort or not. Thanks for this subject. :)

S
Sakimi Chan · September 20, 2017

you are welcome. :D it was suggested by someone. :D
