How this creator filmed a prison escape TikTok in just 5 hours
A conversation about Zines, a Trippy Tiktok series, and a Pop-Up Newsletter.
From a touching road trip video made by Ben (Frantic Frames) and Caleb Shaw post-Camp Film Fest to a faux-prison TikTok series shot in five hours to the analog-meets-digital vibes of Creator Mag's zine revival, we dive into some of our favorite creative discoveries on the Internet!
The gems we cover this episode:
Ben (@franticframes) and Caleb’s (@wherescalebshaw) Road Trip IG Reel
William Banks (@williambanks_) TikTok series
Mind-blowing VFX from Rachel’s Room (@rachels_room)
Pantone Video (from Business Insider)
A Year In Drawings by Chris Schwaar (@schwaar)
And a bonus gem:
Party of One Podcast (@partyof1pod)
From our hosts:
It’s an interesting format and the epitome of “just do it.” Shows you don’t need a cohost to start an interesting conversation.

About Gems of the Internet: We’re Paul and Mia. We both live and work on the internet. The internet feels too big sometimes. It’s hard to find things that are meaningful when there’s just so much out there. So we’re sharing a few things each week that were exciting, inspiring, or meaningful to us. Maybe one of those things will inspire your next project, or maybe you’ll find your next favorite creator. Find all episodes here on Patreon for Creators.
