ICYMI: Larger file attachments, chat emoji shortcuts, & improved video uploading

📎 File attachments on posts can now be sized up to 5GB

We’ve heard from creators that they need to upload file attachments to their posts that are much larger than the previous 200MB limit. We have now increased post attachment limits to upload files up to 5GB. As a reminder, you can attach as many files as you want to a single post. No more compressing your files or sending them in a drive!

😀 New keyboard shortcut to share emojis in Chats on web

It’s now even easier to express yourself in Chats on desktop web. Now, you can type a colon : followed by 2 or more letters to quickly open the emoji selector menu at any point while typing your message, while sandwiching a keyword between two colons instantly adds the emoji to your message. For example, type :megaphone: to share the 📣 emoji, or :sparkles: to share the ✨emoji in a chat.

📈 New to Autopilot: paid membership teaser campaigns, smart discount caps, better insights

Autopilot helps automate your membership growth, and it just got even better. With paid membership teaser campaigns, you can choose up to five paid posts to share as a sneak peek to new free members. We'll send them to free members throughout their first week, and encourage them to upgrade for more.

You can also now set smart discount caps on free member upgrade offers, so you can control the maximum discount, while still allowing Patreon to dynamically send offers to new free members.

And finally, to get a better sense of how Autopilot is working, you’ll see how many free members engaged with your offer and later upgraded to a paid membership.

▶️  Publish your post while your video processes

If you’re uploading a video directly to Patreon and it’s taking a long time to process, you can now continue publishing the post and navigate away from the upload page instead of having to wait for your video to fully process. You’ll get a notification when processing is complete and the video is live.
