WIP 2026/W29 | Counter Progress & Design Choices

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well.

To keep myself on track and stay more connected with all of you, I’m planning to start sharing a formal progress update every week.

This week, I’m excited to share that I’ve finished the main models for the counters! Since this is my very first time making counters, I decided to keep things simple and skip the complex carvings, choosing instead a rustic concrete base paired with soft fabric curtains. To make them more versatile, I’ve made three variations with different curtain positions and sizes.

For the design, I'm using the photo below as my reference.My vision for this set leans a bit more toward a breezy coastal kitchen aesthetic, so I’ve adjusted the overall vibe slightly during the modeling process.

Up next is the swatch-making phase! The tile patterns will have different color variations, but I’m still a bit undecided on the curtains: should I keep them solid colors, or go with some printed patterns?
