🥉 3rd Place - Tanuki Painting Contest 2026

Congratulations to @jabo_lab for this incredible interpretation of Darth Vader.

The judges highlighted the exceptional cel-shading technique, transforming the sculpture into something that looks almost like an illustration brought to life. The bold contrasts, precise use of color, and retro comic-book aesthetic perfectly complement Darth Vader and give the piece a truly distinctive identity.

One comment summed it up perfectly:
“The painting looks like an illustration drawn on paper. The cel-shading work is fantastic!”
