Moving to monthly memberships — a little update!

Hi everyone!

My Patreon will soon be switching from billing per paid post to a fixed monthly membership. I’m working with Patreon’s team to make the transition smooth, and I wanted to explain what this means for you!

What happens to your current membership?

Patreon will automatically convert your membership based on my usual four paid posts per month, while respecting any lower monthly payment cap you’ve set. Your access to your tier’s content will stay the same.

For example, if you’re on the $5-per-post tier:

• With no cap, your membership will become $20 per month.

• With a cap of two paid posts, it will become $10 per month.

• With a cap of one paid post, it will become $5 per month.

Existing memberships will continue to be billed on the first of the month. You don’t need to rejoin to keep your membership.

You’ll also have the option to pay less.

As part of this change, I’ll introduce new $1, $5, and $10 monthly tiers, with the same respective benefits as the current $1, $5, and $10 per-post tiers. These will be available to existing patrons as well as new members!

You won’t automatically move to these lower prices. Once the new tiers are available, you can switch to the corresponding tier yourself if you’d prefer the lower monthly amount. I’ll share an update when they’re ready.

If you’d like to keep supporting me at your converted amount, you can simply stay on your existing membership. You’ll also be able to choose a custom amount above the price of a new tier if you wish.

Under the old system, members within each tier received the same content regardless of their payment cap. That will remain the principle here: paying extra is optional support, and switching to the corresponding lower-priced tier won’t mean losing those benefits.

I know the old billing system could be confusing, so I want these choices to be clear. Please choose whatever feels comfortable for you—there’s absolutely no pressure to contribute more.

Thank you so much for supporting my work, whether you’ve just joined or have been here for years. It means a lot to be able to keep creating and sharing it with you! ✨
