(Continuing to translate old artwork from Valery's story)
Valery's scheme was working well. Gleb, completely unaware of what was really going on, kept bringing him goods in which a courier had already hidden the drugs Akademik needed. As a result, Gleb was unknowingly risking his freedom by acting as a courier, believing he was simply helping Valery while also giving them a chance to spend time together
But things weren't quite that perfect. The people around them, the other prison employees, began noticing that something was off, especially those who already had some personal grudge against Gleb
That could have ruined Valery's entire plan, so he needed to come up with a replacement fast. At the same time, he was afraid of betraying or setting Gleb up. If someone found out what was happening and Gleb learned that he hadn't been bringing ordinary bread into the prison after all, he could completely destroy Valery's life behind bars. Valery was terrified that someone would uncover his past, and he was almost certain Akademik wouldn't protect him if that happened, because Akademik cared about his own reputation above all else.
Because of that, Valery began considering ways to get rid of Gleb. It was just one of the options, an emergency backup plan. But the web of lies kept growing more tangled, and Valery was gradually losing control of it

He is connected through Adil’s father. We see him in one of the later chapters in Underdogs for a few pages.

I think feat is a prevalent feeling in his character, thats what primarly moves him, that's what puts him on action. If it wasn't for his constant fear and environment he would probably have a quiet life. couldn't be sure, tho
