I have a question. Do Adil and his family speak English between themselves for the simplicity of the plot delivery? Or do they really do it? Because to me it seems like they should speak kazakh but I can see them speaking eng in public spaces for example

It’s so uncomfortable to see characters depicted realistically. Not a cut and dry ‘you aren’t supposed to like this person.’ The characters motivations are clear without them having to say them, or even realize them themselves. I love this story it breaks my heart in so many ways

oh adil’s dad crying lowkey might make me cry okg just because it’s not something you’d expect to see and it shows that he really does care about adil and he just had odd ways of showing it my babies

I cant imagine how scared his dad was in that moment but damn are families complicated...

the expression on adil’s dad face when he starts crying is so well done omg i love when artists aren’t afraid to have their characters make faces that aren’t always “pretty”. my face also scrunches up like crazy when i cry so it’s nice to see. (also adil looks sm like his dad 💔)

When I think about Adil actually, truly getting jumped, scared to death and badly hurt. I’m glad we get to see his dad show that he was actually worried about him but at the same time I wish he could be more gentle with Adil. I just hate that he assumes what was going on instead of giving him any benefit of the doubt. To some degree, with the line of work Adil’s dad is in I understand him wanting Adil to take it seriously but at the same time he seems like a kind and responsible person so where this sense of distrust come from I’ve yet to understand
