Lore Drop, August 2025 - Meet Hermit

Say hello to Hermit, a peculiar and interesting character. Not much is known about him. He used to live in the fishing town of Lantern's Crossing, but since has went to seclusion. It's rumored he was cast out from the town, but no one knows for sure, except Hermit. No one really knows how old he is, but everyone has heard weird and weirder tales of Hermit their whole lives. Even his real name isn't known in the land of Taival!

He truly is bizarre. His home is an old tower filled with all kinds of inventions, gizmos and gadgets, with some seeming that even Hermit don't know the function of. He spends most of his time at home, but there are many instances of him being found in most unexpected, even perilous places. Most recent example of this is when he was found sleeping in a treacherous clacker nesting area!

Even though he usually tends to keep to himself, locked in his tower and someone might get an unpleasant or alarming feeling about him, he is always friendly toward others, helping them on their tasks and missions. He has never been seen angry or sad, instead always laughing and smiling, like he knows something others don't.

Thanks for reading. This is my first lore drop of many to come, as my new role working on Taival as a game and lore designer. Hope you liked it and see you soon!
