Art & Soundtracks #5: Vaellus

Vaellus is a Finnish word for a wandering or hiking. This track is one of the overworld tracks you hear when venturing the wilderness of Taival. It plays on a lower volume in comparison to the music you hear at points of interest, such as towns or dungeons, as it is not meant to take your attention, but instead to create a sense of exploration and immersion.

Thanks for listening, and stay tuned!

Composer's notes (artsy stuff)
Creating the melody of Vaellus had me puzzled and still has, as it sounds eerily familiar to me. I am unable to point exactly as to where the feeling comes from, but I want to see it as a good thing: the track creates a feeling of familiarity yet wonder I wanted the player to feel when traveling the breathtaking landscapes of Taival.
