Yeah no, she's proven that trying to maintain a relationship with her is not worth it. I hope they cut her out of their lives.

I have so many feels and so much relatability to this strip.

This is the bravest and realest thing i have ever seen in a comic strip. I feel so connected and drawn in, even though i'm a straight asian woman with a "tiger mom". And personally, i think with a toxic parent like this mom here, just aim to manage her needs in her old age as duty but no more emotional investments beyond that. She cannot adapt, and you need to protectbthe family you made now.

So many people don't realise they're perpetuating pain. Mom's a very damaged person who can't see how damaged she is.

Aaaand that's that. She just walked herself off the plank. Way to go, "mom", for saying such comforting phrases like "what kind of man are you?", and "not part of this family". Her last facial expression was her realizing she just f***ed up royally... though maybe not... It's alright: I know a family full of love like John and Alex's will be just fine without her and her baggage.

Man, this hurt.

Poor Pop for having such a hateful person in his life. You choose your own family and leave horrible people behind while you work to create something better. That exactly what Pop and Dad did. Throw her to the curb. Exactly what she deserves. I hope AJ makes Pop feel better like he always does.
