I am on the Autism spectrum too, but I have a mild case so I'm not as obvious or always as conscious about it like others could be. I must admit, I too found Kyle annoying because of this, but I have a bit more sympathy now ... after all, what we don't like about others is what we may not like about ourselves, right?

Love that AJ sees it as something to learn about and something new he knows about his friend (and future friend) not something wrong with them or a reason to avoid them.

Two autistic characters!! Just a note, most autistic people I've met refer to themselves as "autistic people" rather than "people with autism". Just like you wouldn't say "people with Deafness", it's the same with regards to autism - It's not something we have, it's something we are. ❤️

I'm happy you doing are doing a story on autism. My son is Aspergers and even he is a very intelligent young man, people have avoided him expecting some of the more extreme autistic behaviors out of him.
