For everyone missing the context, Brianna only stayed a girl because she was miserable as a man. The trans community (Hi I'm trans) calls this gender dysphoria, something that Jackie does not experience. He is perfectly secure in his masculinity and only experiences gender dysphoria when he's a female. He's only getting like this because of hormones going into overdrive, established in a previous issue of this series. He's not going to "break" and stay female unless he realizes that he never liked being a guy in the first place.
