Flixxs 6.5 — Public Preview
Same time, same skydome, same conditions.
6.5 immediately shows richer, more accurate exposure — but this isn't just a brightness slider push.
This is powered by the reworked Flixxs Hybrid tonemap defaults, tuned specifically for golden-hour and mixed-lighting scenes.
It resolves color and light falloff far more accurately, resulting in:
• Natural shadow detail instead of crushed black
• Proper sky gradient instead of flat teal
• A grounded, photographic image without the murk
Again, identical setup.
6.0 goes flat under artificial light — ceiling panels lose contrast and the whole tunnel reads grey and washed out.
6.5's lighting model adds real bounce and contrast recovery, so:
• Ceiling panel detail stays legible instead of blowing out
• Tunnel wall texture and depth stay visible instead of flattening
• Headlight flare stays controlled instead of blooming everything white
Same overcast weather preset, same static shot.
6.0 crushes the car near-silhouette under flat grey light — headlights and paint depth both lost to black.
6.5 fixes overcast exposure handling directly, so:
• Headlight glow reads properly instead of clipping to white noise
• Paint depth and reflections stay visible under flat lighting
• Background texture (stone wall, trees) stays present instead of crushing to pure black
Now the big one.
Alongside 6.5, we're shipping Flixxs Studio — a standalone app that puts every setting in a live control panel, instead of Pure's outdated Pure PP app.
No more asking people for their preset, no more squinting at screenshots trying to match numbers. Built-in presets — Flixxs Default, Night Drive, Cinematic, Summer Vibes, Clean & Sharp, Spec Mode — apply instantly, live, while the game runs. Save your own, export it as a file, share it with one click — drop it in and get the exact 1:1 preset, every time.
New Cinematic DOF module gives full manual control over focus distance, focus range, blur strength, aperture, focal length, near/far blur falloff, quality, and cat-eye bokeh shape — plus a cockpit-only motion blur and collision hit-flash effect.
6.5 also brings custom fog back, fully reworked from the ground up — alongside all the new defaults, tonemap tweaks, and color grade adjustments covered above. All of it sits inside Studio, adjustable live.
Flixxs Studio uses a lifetime license key, activated per install, to verify genuine buyers and keep Access fair.
Once activated, Studio clearly shows your key status, and the live indicator lets you know when Studio is actually connected to the game.
Coming soon to Early Access.
