Flixxs 5.5
Flixxs Graphics And Early Access • Discord Only
Hello everyone,
This is your official first look at Flixxs 5.5, a major visual evolution over 5.0, now live in Early Access. This update focuses on image accuracy, depth, and realism, with a fully custom-built tonemap, refined exposure behaviour, and weeks of real-world testing across every environment you actually drive in.
Below, you'll see direct 5.5 vs 5.0 comparisons using raw in-game screenshots. No edits, no post-processing, just the filter doing the work.
🔥 What's New in Flixxs 5.5
🎨 Brand New Fully Custom Tonemap
This is not a tweak of the old one. It's built from the ground up:
Every single color has been manually reworked
Improved color separation
Better highlight control
Deeper, more natural shadows
Cleaner whites with zero washout
The goal was realism first, with cinematic depth that still works in all lighting conditions.
🖥️ 5.5 vs 5.0 – Visual Comparison
This comparison shows how 5.5 improves:
Overall contrast balance
Natural color response
Better depth without crushing blacks
More realistic lighting falloff
5.0 looks good. 5.5 looks alive.
🌫️ Interior Exposure – Fully Reworked
Interior exposure has been properly tuned in 5.5:
No more blown dashboards
Smooth transitions when entering/exiting shadows
Better balance between interior & exterior light
Perfect for POV, cockpit cams, and replays
🏎️ Real-World Driving Test – Track Environment
This environment was used to test:
Daylight clarity
Natural greens & foliage
Road texture detail
Shadow depth under harsh sun
5.5 keeps detail where 5.0 starts to flatten.
🌄 Real-World Driving Test – Mountain / Natural Light
This scene highlights:
Improved sky-to-ground balance
More realistic ambient light
Better depth perception
Cleaner exposure during fast lighting changes
This is where the new tonemap really shines.
⚙️ Built-In PURE Configs (New)
Flixxs 5.5 now ships with:
1 Main Built-In PURE Config
Balanced, clean, and accurate. Recommended for most users.
1 Secondary PURE Config
Tuned for a deeper, moodier look with enhanced contrast and atmosphere.
Both are fully integrated and ready to use out of the box.
🧪 Weeks of Testing – No Guesswork
This filter has been tested over several weeks across:
Day & night
Sun, rain, fog
Urban, highways, mountains
High-speed driving
POV & cinematic cameras
Every environment you see above reflects real usage, not cherry-picked shots.
