Development Update #13

Hey everyone, Volos here!Long time no post, I know.
But I come bearing good news and a proper update, so bear with me.

As it is custom by now, long time no post equals wall of text to make up for lack of communication.

First off, yes I'm alive and so is Binted.
And no, I haven't been kidnapped by Batman_sid.
Because I'm a smart guy and know how to cover up my tracks (contrary to certain other devs, cough Lemon, cough Maya).

We've just been deep in the trenches of development and, as it turns out, also the nightmare hellscape that is creating a Steam store page. More on that in a sec.

What's going on with Patch 5?

It's going to be the biggest update we've done. Biggest in terms of word count, biggest in terms of renders, by a significant amount.

The writing is almost completely wrapped up , like 90% done? Though we'll probably squeeze in another two or three scenes to bridge some gaps that are still bugging me.

You know how it is, you step back, look at the flow and think... something's missing here. So we polish a little more to get something nice instead!

So what's actually in this thing?

Glad you asked! Without going into too much detail.

You'll be heading back to Carlo's shop for a second visit. And if you remember how the last patch ended with Julia, you'll know things between her and MC are a little... tense.

That awkwardness isn't going away on its own, and Patch 5 is where we start to address it properly.

On top of that, Lisa has some things going on of her own. Let's just say MC is in a position to be very helpful about it.

Renders

People LOVE numbers so let me share some.
We're sititng at around 1.200 renders right now. Which is already roughly on par with everything Patch 4 had in total.And we're still going. So yeah as I already said, this one's going to be chunky!

Why the radio silence?

Okay so, two reasons.
One, Renders/Posing.

That's where basically all of my time is going and I'd rather be doing that than writing posts about doing that. But I do feel guilty so we'll try make more frequent dev updates.

Two, and this is the more emarrassing one. I finally did the Steam store page.

This is something I kept putting off forever, telling myself I'd get to it "soon," while being fully aware it needed to happen ASAP to start gathering wishlists. It took multiple dev friends actively bullying me into submission before I finally sat down and did it.

I've spent full five work days to do all the texts and promotional material.
Capsules in all sizes imaginable, a proper minute-long trailer, the whole thing.

And you know what? Steam approved the store page yesterday!

All that's left now is hitting the green "Publish" button, which is happening tomorrow or Saturday. The game will be visible on Steam and ready to be wishlisted.
And that's a MASSIVE milestone for this project. Honestly, zero regrets. Time very well spent.

Oh right, and actually posting the trailer and all that stuff.
There will be another post this week officially announcing the Steam Page.

Yeah, I ain't reading all that, TLDR:

Patch 5 is the biggest update yet in both script and renders (~1.200 so far and climbing).

Writing nearly done, probably going to add two or three more scenes though.

Features Carlo round 2, MC and Julia working through the tension, and a very eventful trip including alone time with Lisa.

Steam store page approved on the first try and going live this week for wishlisting.
