1 Year of Buff Game (and Demon Seed)!

Hey everyone! While Volos is slaving away on the renders for v0.5, we're going to celebrate our one-year anniversary today!
To be perfectly honest with you: we actually started our endeavors at the beginning of December 2024. But since we were a bit swamped with releasing our newest (and greatest??) update yet, we decided to postpone the celebration a little bit, so here we are!

Planting the Seed - Humble Beginnings

Like I said above, we started releasing our game Demon Seed about a year ago now, and it really has been a wild ride so far. Our original plan for the game was for it to be on the shorter side, so we could get our feet wet making AVNs and seeing if we had a future in the scene. But, as often happens, the project became bigger and bigger in scope, and now our original plan of finishing development in two years is not going to be very realistic.
So I'm happy to say you can expect us to continue releasing new updates for the game for years to come.

Nurturing the Sprout - Lessons learned

When I compare the first version we put out to what we're doing now, I can say with confidence that we really have improved a lot in virtually every aspect, from the quality (and amount) of renders and animations to the writing.

Seeing it side by side really puts it into perspective just how far we've come since we began making the game.
But even apart from the game, we made some great strides this past year. I don't want this to be too sappy, but one of us (me) went through a pretty difficult time early this year, which made working on our beloved project extremely difficult for both of us. And while I can't say that whoever is going through this (me) is back on their feet completely, the positive reception to the game has helped them tremendously in recovering and in continuing to do so, whoever they are (totally me).
So in short: thank you all so very much for your support!

Cultivating Growth - The here and now

Looking at what we have now, I can say that I'm decently happy with what we've been putting out so far. Although, if I take a critical look at what we are doing with the game now, it feels like it's just more of the same of what we released with v0.1, just with better quality. Also, there have been critiques that our game is a bit too kinetic, which is a very valid point.
Don't celebrate yet, though. We probably won't ever make Demon Seed "open world" or make your choices matter for the development of the story, but we're thinking about avenues to at least expand on that aspect a little bit.
Which brings us to:

Branching out - Looking ahead

There are a few plans that are pretty much set in stone, apart from just releasing v0.5 at some point, of course. We also have a few ideas bubbling in the background that we’re still working out the kinks for.

In a previous development update, I talked about finding voice actresses for our girls to make our animations and scenes better. The initial plan was to roll it out with v0.4, but I wanted to take my time with it and not only add personalized moans to the animations but make them better as a whole. To that end, we're going to release v0.4.5, which I like to call: Sex 2.0; I hope you look forward to it!

As I said above, there are a few other ideas and wants on that list. Some are coming sooner and some later, so look forward to more information on those in the future!

And with that, that's it for our celebration post. Of course, wallpaper fanatics that we are, we've made a wallpaper to celebrate, so I hope you enjoy that! Volos had to take time out of his busy work schedule to make the renders. Guess that means 3 more days of no sleep trying to catch up! Oh well!

For real though, I want to thank each and every one of you who has decided to go on this journey with us, no matter if you're paying or just curiously looking at what we're putting out. It really does mean the world to us. Without you, we wouldn't be here, and we hope you allow us to provide you with more Demon Seed goodness!
