ETS2/ATS DLSS 5 Implementation - Follow-Up Update
Hi all,
Quick follow-up on the DLSS 5 implementation for ETS2 and ATS.
At this stage, DLSS 5 does appear to be usable, but it still requires a lot of performance headroom, testing, and manual tweaking to get working properly.
For now, I wouldn’t call it fully playable or ready for normal use. The results can look promising, but the setup is still too demanding and inconsistent to recommend as a proper solution yet.
That said, this is definitely something to keep an eye on as more information, testing, and insight becomes available.
I’ll continue looking into it and will try to put together a tutorial once the setup becomes more stable and practical.
For now, I’m sharing a few screenshots showing the current look with ReShade and Project Ultimate Weather only.

Hey Angus, I've been testing DLSS 5 NR myself lately and noticed that it works better with Snowymoon when combined with DLSS 5 Bridge and Krish's RenoDX DLSS 5 add-on instead of ShortFuse's version. Maybe it's just me, but the performance was noticeably better with Krish's version, and there were fewer artifacts and less ghosting. It pairs better with Snowymoon because Snowymoon has its own DLAA method that doesn't affect the game's UI, making it a more native solution than using something like DLSS Feeder. Since we aren't using DLSS Feeder and are using DLSS 5 Bridge instead, the bridge hooks directly into Snowymoon's DLAA without interfering with the UI. Overall, it gives way better visuals without any jaggies. I also tried Nvidia's Smooth Motion, and surprisingly, it works really well too. I was able to get around 70 to 80 FPS with Smooth Motion turned on using my RTX 4070 Super. If you ask me, as long as the frame rate stays at 60 FPS or higher, it's more than enough for ETS2. There are ways to make NS look better, as you probably already know, and if combined with a good quality ReShade, we'd likely get even better results. That's where you come in; you're great with ReShade and know how to make games look amazing. I hope this information was helpful and that you decide to create some cool stuff with it. Cheers!
Thank you a lot for this information. This is very useful. I have tried few of the options on few games and also this was on the list to pair with snowymoon
I wonder if its implemented to reshade, it will work on AMD cards?
Hey, not sure at the moment
Where can I get dlss5? Is it free? Is it paid? I want to test it with the RTX 5080
RenoDX Discord
may i know what is dlss 5
Interesting and bold to use DLSS 5 on an old game, altough for the moment, i don't see any "wow details" than other games with DLSS 5 tests. BUT it's a start KEEP UP!
I mean...its something but i doubt that this will become something extremely stable...unless someone works on it
After doing this with cyberpunk and getting jaw dropping visuals, I was going to try this on ETS2 but didn't know were to start. So I'm glad your doing it 🤣
Once it's working, make that tutorial so we can download and test DLSS 5.
