Welcome
Hello and welcome to my Patreon. I'm starting it for two reasons.
1. I'm basically making this animation series full-time and I'd like to continue doing that, but at some point I'm going to have to stop and get a real job unless I start making some money off of it.
2. I like interacting with people who are enjoying the story I'm telling, but I'm a bit scared of comment sections as I'm easily sucked into pointless arguments, and I have a bad habit of taking negative comments to heart. I hope to use this place to get feedback and discuss ideas with people who like my work.
I haven't offered any specific perks for members or anything, but I'm open to ideas and requests. I don't want to paywall the story, but I could do Q+As, make some wallpapers, thank you all on the website, or at the end of the episode compilations I put on youtube.
If I get a crazy number of patrons I'll also use some of the money to do cool stuff for the animations. Introduce some real voice actors, buy some cool background art, get animators who are better than me to do some action scenes. I kind of like that every threat so far has been solved non-violently, but it would be kind of cool to do some scenes with animations I'm not capable of doing myself (I'll get there eventually maybe).
Anyway, a huge thank you to any of you who choose to sign up, and also a huge thank you to those of you who don't. I know that if you're reading this it's probably because you like the stuff I am making, and that means a lot to me.

you make fabulous content. I can not afford to join now. but will surely do as soon as I can. fingers crossed. keep it up. I find calmness in your content
Teaching undergrads and struggling for ways to reach them that are shorter than book length and encompass a format they’ll engage with-I so appreciate your droll animation and pithy reductions of complex issues (that do not shy away from pushing to their core) - thank you for your labor and intelligent humor. As a wretched adjunct I’ll hope to make modest financial contributions if course enrollment for next summer and fall don’t collapse. Sending much admiration as a new fan.
Thank you for your content, it has lifted me during dark times, Cerberus made me smile, a three headed westie, what a wonderful, Get scary creature.
I teach at a college. These are great! I intend using them in my classes to get students thinking and discussing. I loved the bit about dialectics and Socrates being a "know-it-all." Congratulations on great creative content.
Keep shinning✨️💯🌞💚😺
You’re the best thing on TikTok! Keep going!
The message, the story, are more important than the medium. Your story carries the animation, not the other way around. With that said, your animation is wonderful. It has authenticity. I eagerly await your creations.
I find your films incredibly rewarding and so singular. I'd love to know more about you as a filmmaker, your background, your drive etc... but obviously I also recognise that you will need/want boundaries, I'm just saying this as an animation lecturer who wants to be able frame your output to my students.
This series spoke to me so oddly, so precisely personally — I created a goddamned Patreon account *specifically* to thank you for it. Thank you so much for your work. I wish I was in a position to put some money your way, but alas — right now I can only give you this nice comment. In hopes that maybe it cancels out some of the meaner comments you must get. Lastly I'd just like to echo some of the stuff said before: a HUGE part of the charm, I think, is the relatively unrefined animations/voices juxtaposed against the brilliant writing. I'd support whatever you choose wrt voices, but please don't feel pressured to hire professional VAs just because they seem like a natural next-step sort of "upgrade"; the current voices aren't just adequate, they're fantastic already, and do the story you're trying to tell wonderful justice.
I'm in the same place. The forest jar was my personal Patreon tipping point. So happy to be able to support such wholesome yet real content.
i think much of the charm of this series lies in the primitive character of the art and the animations. i would not recommend that you hire anybody else to try and do any of the things you mentioned (cool animations, better backgrounds, etc). I think it would only distract from the dialogue.
Love the voices. Future patreon level merch might be stickers? Pins or tiny badges? Pens? Downloadable pages of some kind. Maybe when there's more patreons on here do a mini or desk calendar for sale? Redbubble might be an inspiration to see what merch to create?
I love the voices as they are and I'm curious about who does all the voices! One of my favorite things about the production are the voices, something very grounding and serene about them.
O i just love forestjar so much! It's such good company on my musings; thank you for letting me know i'm not crazy I'm just on a collision course with injustice
I began a subscription because your content is unique and creative and you. I wanted to support that as best as I could. Thank you for what you give to us.
Your contents are already awesome and, I think, the appeal comes mainly from the dialogue. So no need for you to invest money in improving your videos
Dear Mysterious Creator, Thank you. I’ve never been happier to support something as high-quality, seemingly simple, yet ironic and philosophical on Patreon as these wonderful series. Probably a healthy dose of King Kong’s wisdom is exactly what we all need at this point. Please keep doing what you do. Love, Alex
This series immediately took over a part of my brain. I love the idea and the writing and the characters
Your stuff rocks and really has me thinking deep. Keep being you!!!
Hi, can I send you a one time donation? I signed up at the $10 level but I will occasionally go and purge all my regular subscriptions, so I'd love to also send you a couple hundred dollars now so that I don't feel bad when I do that purge.
Absolutely love this. Would be interested to learn more about your inspiration.
hi, would you consider a $1 level?
Like others have mentioned, I created this patreon account for you. Your series, like a domino effect, caused a very serious shift in my life because I came across it at the perfect time. Everything about your work is perfect; the art style, the dialogues, the subtle jokes here and there, all of it. It will stay with me forever and I cannot thank you enough for that. It has a beautiful resonating energy to it. Thank you again and I hope you get all the support you need for this and your future projects :)
I would love some wallpapers :D I just found your job, love your talent
Part of the appeal for me actually is the scrappy animation, but if you have an artistic vision I'm happy to see where you will take this if/when you get some money.
Very happy to hear you're working on this full time, more great art for me to enjoy! I really love your work, and the subtely it strikes with. Happy to support your effort, and I appreciate your creativity!
I can’t wait to see where you go with this, forest
I love your content. Thanks a lot for making the videos, my day always gets a bit better every time I watch one of them
Behind-the-scenes stuff would be great. I’m 43 and enjoying with my 13 yr old…has opened up great discussion
I absolutely love the Forest Jar! The voices, the little animations, their lovely mindsets. Its beautiful
Really loving your series. I had to join. Thank you for your videos. I comment occasionally, and so many things remind me of my favorite author.
I made a Patreon account just for you!
Same!
Happy to have the opportunity to support this work! What you’re creating is so powerful.
Absolutely love the series! I saw you first on Tiktok and have thoroughly enjoyed your videos.
Thanks for creating this weird and wonderful thing!
