I was listening back to an old episode. I think its where you review Spiderman: Homecoming. You went on a tangent about Jeremy Renner injuring himself in set. Then you talked about how valuable his bones would be. Then you said it depended on how many were broken, to determine the value. Maybe an intact bone would be more valuable because he had broken so many. This was before his snow plow accident. My question is, how did you cause this accident? I need some things to happen to some people who may or may not be ruining my country. Thanks in advance.

maso recently mentioned waking life which is a movie I'm very fond of and led me to find undone, a show that also uses rotoscoping and I loved even more. my question is what property would you like to see have a different visual framing? something like marvel doing a stop motion like they did with modok but as full movie or presentation, i think a rotoscoped legion or muppets movie would be cool!

If the MCU rebooted from complete scratch, which actors would you cast today for the original Avengers team?

Will you ever cover MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios in the booque clubbe? I remember you guys floated the idea when it came out but it never happened. I'm finally reading it this year alongside my rewatch of all the Marvel movies. Have you read any other inside baseball book about comics? I really enjoyed Marvel Comics: The Untold Story by Sean Howe and feels like The Reign of Marvel Studios picks up right where that book left off making it a spiritual sequel.

What are some juicy stories you have that are inside baseball? Since you’re both so prolific (Mason with all of his connections in the Australian comedy scene and James being an industry icon), I know you must have a plethora of stories involving big names (ex: the Kevin Spacey story and the Screen Junkies scandal respectively). If you don’t feel like you can share any of these wild anecdotes or regale us with any saucy escapades you may have gone on, I will settle for informing us on the last known whereabouts and happenings of Little James, as he has been missing in action for quite a while and I worry for the little angry guy. Gonna go on a waffle here! I probably don't need to give this much context, but I happened to ignore pretty much all of the marvel movies released during my late twenties until one day I didn't (I think it was after watching guardians of the galaxy, although I definitely saw iron man 1 in the cinema) so I had a unique experience of suddenly jumping on the hype train and being able to binge watch a lot of films. This was great and I was very invested in marvel from then on, I especially enjoyed the famous trying to spot the links, Easter eggs and post credit scenes. I think end game basically peaked the series for me and actually infinity war felt like the reset because it was a bit OTT. By going about it this way I avoided all the usual build up from release dates, critical noise and my own misgivings, if I didn't like a film I moved onto the next one - no drama. Recently I did a selected rewatch of the MCU because like everyone else id reached burnout and previously where I'd happily rewatch the odd film here or there, I really had started to draw a line under it. Id kind of lost the love for it, really felt like a slog even though I enjoyed a lot of the TV shows the new build up process was quite annoying - I don't think this was helped by COVID and the writers strike impacting the new era. During the rewatch I did get the love back a bit and I was able to say first infinity war saga is genuinely one of the best things ever, but also hours and hours to get to the Kang dynasty finale have kind of been a waste of time. Now with doomsday arriving, I've got to say I am a little bit sad we won't get to see it completed - and wonder whether a recast of Jonathon Major(s) arsehole could have got it done? What do you think? Could they have saved the storyline? Do you think they will try and pick it up another time or is that fully done? Going back to the start of my waffle, I think the point I am making is you don't have to love the process at the time, as long as the payoff is good - even bad MCU movies in the build up to endgame added to it in the end(game). On rewatching I think you can understand how movie execs thought the multi verse would be a hit - endless fan made YouTube breakdowns about Easter eggs, endless explainers about multiple characters being from different realms, etc. stuff we all enjoy to dip into and you guys do so well. It definitely just got annoying though dragging itself along. I wonder whether marvel fans burning out fedback into Disney and by audiences getting a jaded we actually helped make the KD a bit shit. Part of my rewatch was antman 3 enter the miniverse or whatever and actually, I really liked it on rewatch. It was seriously daft but it was really fun, great visuals, silly sidekicks and made for a good kids movie. If I was a kid now I think that would be one of my favourite movies - and that was what made me feel sad the kang storyline had fizzled. That was a big waffle lol. Just a quick one lastly to say I love the pod, been relistening to older episodes. I'm in my forties now but these films really help me reconnect to a time when my idiot parents were still alive ❤️ stay nerdy!

I had gotten completely burned out on MCU stuff a few years ago; no movies after Guardians 3 and gave up on TV halfway through Secret Invasion. This summer my 13yo daughter asked to watch Fantastic Four (2025) and got hooked. In the last few months we've watched 26 movies and 2 series and I'm having so much fun re-experiencing things with her and am actually enjoying things I previously was down on...Ant-Man3, Thor 4, etc....Is there anything you've rewatched with your kids that has improved because of the experience of their enthusiasm?

Howdy from Texas! First I want to just thank you both, I’ve been listening since 2014 (said to make you feel old), and you guys have been a huge part of my life. My family even knows y’all as the “Crazy Australians you’re always listening to”. My question is, do you think the concept of sidekicks in movies and TV adaptations is kind of outdated? I have always been a fan of sidekicks, especially the legacy of the Robins, but it seems like, beyond Rhodey and Bucky who are more heroes in their own rights, as well as that terrible Titans show, most comic book movies are ashamed or just can’t get to a place where they can include these characters.

In The Dark Knight Rises 🤣 Why does nobody ever mention that Bruce Wayne had a tracker on his mothers pearls? Alfred was aware of the tracker, Selina Kyle appears to be wearing the pearls during the final scene at the cafe. It stands to reason Alfred used the tracker, right? Especially since they included a scene where the people executing Bruce Wayne’s will still had the pearls unaccounted form and they made no mention of the tracker. I also sent an e-mail on this having recently subscribed to Big Sandwich. I found myself yelling at my speaker while listening to all the “We got this Covered” episodes, and flying into a James level rage lol every time the DKR ending gets brought up 😂 Keep up the great work men, Robert, your longtime fan in Michigan.

One of my pet peaves in comics is when a name is passed on to another character. I don't think Sam Wilson should be Captain America, he's made a name for himself as Falcon and should stay that way. I don't like having multiple spider-men. Phyla-Vel has how many names? Does this bother either of you?

Two questions: 1. What’s your feelings on fan conventions and if you’ve ever attended one. I just came back from D23 and had a lot of fun. But keep in mind, I only did it for one day, so I didn’t do everything that was available and tried to just have fun. Also, I don’t do a lot of conventions, so I’m not familiar with a lot of the culture surrounding them. 2. Hey Big James and Maso, I always struggle to think of a question but I have a small anecdote about when I discovered you guys. I'm a LONG time fan and remember discovering the Mr. Sunday Movie Youtube channel back in 2014ish when most of the videos were just James doing short-form video essays by himself with Maso occasionally being in one of those videos. Thus, I became a fan of James first and when I heard Maso pop up in some videos I thought "yuck, another YouTuber trying to bring his weird mate into this" But it didn't take long for Maso to sell me on his witty banter. Then I discovered the Weekly Planet Podcast and the rest is history. But it's funny to think there was a time where my favorite dynamic for the videos was just James by himself, which sounds crazy now. I guess to make this a question: is there any content creator you became a fan of through another content creator? Or you became a fan of them through something other then the thing they are most famous for? I'm a fan of Matt McMuscle's "What Happened?" video essays where he discuss problematic development cycles for video games and movies but I never watched him on the Super Best Friends Play let's play channel, where I think most of his following comes from.

Dad question for James. How do you deal with aggressive marketing towards kids? I see things like popcorn buckets and preorder bonuses and imagine kids go nuts for them, whereas I see them as useless junk.
