July Update

July has been a really exciting month on the development side of things, and we're really excited to share some of the progress with you over the coming weeks. For one thing, our Patreon quite literally exploded - the devlogs did pretty well in terms of views, and after only two (and without any endorsements from gaming YouTubers or advertisers) we're already almost 20% of the way to our community funding goal.

The future of Aces & Armour is looking great.

The interior, and modifications for the Pz IV E are at this point completed, and are just awaiting texturing, and implementation of the interior mechanics, by which the players will operate the inside of the tank. In fact, Roberto Costa (not to be confused with Roberto, our lead developer), has been in charge of these interior mechanics, and he's making great progress. As a little side effect, we're actually very close to a Patreon milestone that would allow us to hire him to go full time!

The Pz IV modifications, including stuff like appliqué armour, vorpanzer, added track armour, the long 75, ventilated engine grills, and many others, are looking nice - attached to this post are a few images of the modifications (which will be unlockeable via modification trees).

Roberto (our lead developer) has spent a lot of time in the past couple weeks, and likely weeks to come, focusing on the mobility system. It had to be done sooner or later, but giving tanks proper/realistic mobility is an age old issue in video games, and we're committed to getting it right.

That's about all for now, thanks a huge amount for your ongoing support, and as a final message - to free Patreon members, consider becoming a paid member, it helps a huge amount, and takes us that little bit closer to bringing Aces & Armour to you.

All the best,

- Alex and the A&A Development Team

I really hope this is what a certain other tank combat game could never be

Massive fan of the track armour, can't wait to see it in a future build

Thanks! Yeah it's a pretty cool - if not that effective - feature. I just love the idea of customising a tank to make it your own.
