As you may or may not know, I had to take a few weeks off to recover from surgery last month (that was exactly 30 days ago!). Ironically, I didn't actually take time off — I intended to relax, but what actually happened was that I worked on the Build Server automation and releasing the Android version. I did pause on working on the story, 3d animation, and rendering though. And for the last week or so, I've finally gotten right back into true development of the story again and it feels so good to be back.

What I'm working on right now:

• Scene 7 Animation (Sneak Peek down below!) - Not trying to spoil too much (but also tiny spoilers ahead 😅): I've been animating the next scene, which introduces Raven. This includes two walk cycles (one of the most difficult parts of animation) both for Raven and Anya. I hope you understand that I'm not an expert in animation, I've only studied it and practiced here and there, but I have absolutely made strides in quality and in speed - as a side note, the first scene's animation took about 2 months to animate! Scene 7's animation is about 50% completed and has taken me maybe a week to get to this point. I expect to be finished with this scene's animation in about 2 or so weeks!
  As you (hopefully) know, while animating a scene, it leaves the DevLogs pretty small and dry; but be rest-assured that great progress is being made for the next part of this chapter!

• Scene 7 Writing - While this scene is finished, I'm just doing some minor rewrites and some polishing - simply because Raven deserves a very fleshed out introduction.

• Raven - In addition to making sure that Raven's character shines in this next scene, I'm also going to be working with Termz to help me make sure that she looks absolutely gorgeous! He's done excellent work for other developers in the past and I'm so excited to work with him. 😍 And yes, if you've finished Chapter 1 (Part 1 of 3), you know that the next character that we're going to meet is Raven: "A jaded emotiokinetic Psion with a sharp wit, Raven Delarosa operates on fringes of Neo Angeles' society, using her ability to manipulate feelings to subtly disrupt the system that failed her as an orphan."
