[Recent report]－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－－

In September, after the Cosholi SP event, I headed to Yamanashi Prefecture for some tasty food. Since it was hot, I figured the highlands would be cool, and they really were! The weather was a bit gloomy, which was a bummer, but I still had a blast eating soft serve, taking photos of waterfalls, and enjoying some Kōshū beef.

Yamanashi is great for good food and beautiful nature, making it a nice getaway for folks in the Kanto area. If you enjoy drinks, they’ve got a fantastic selection of wine, sake, and whiskey too, which is definitely a plus. The towns are pretty compact, so even without a car, you can explore a lot without it feeling overly touristy. Plus, hotels and food are affordable, and it’s not too crowded.

I’m thinking of heading back for a day trip before November rolls around.

And speaking of September, it’s the time for spider lilies, but I haven’t been able to shoot them yet this year. With the crazy heat, I figured they wouldn’t bloom until late in the month. Unfortunately, I got super busy, so I’m planning to go in early October instead.

Also, I recently got the α7CII! It has fewer buttons than my α7IV, but the autofocus is a bit better. I’d like to get familiar with the α7CII by shooting the spider lilies. I’m aiming for a 4 AM departure, arriving by 5, finishing up by 7, and then heading to work by 9!
