Race Engineer App v3.1.0
Assetto Corsa has no race engineer, which results in needing multiple visual apps to keep you informed of what is going on. This app provides a race engineer to keep you informed of events and your car's status. It is also a way to receive vocal informative responses to any queries you have! This results in significantly more immersive and enjoyable experience.
This app provides drivers with a race engineer who will provide:
Voice Recognition (Windows O.S users)
Voiced Random Info Updates
Voiced Session Event Comments (Session Start/End, Final Lap, VSC, SC)
Popup UI window (MFD) to ask the engineer for specific info. (My Position, Wind Info, Gap to car ahead, Tyre Temps, Car Damage etc)
Responses to live events. (Qualifying Lap Invalidated, Low Fuel, Damage, VSC, FIA DRS and ACTIVE AERO enablement.)
Voice Recognition - How it works
(Full setup instructions are included in the Read Me document provided.)
The app will listen to your default microphone and then use windows speech to text to decipher what has been said and thus react. Below is the popup Powershell window which records what it has herd. (This can be minimised.)
There are a number of voice inputs the engineer can respond to, full list is in the Read Me, however below are a few examples:
Radio Check
My Position
Tire Condition
Brake Bias
Damage Status
Wind Info
Gap to driver ahead/behind
Battery Info
Should you not want to use Voice Recognition and to disable the Power Shell Script Window from popping up, you can disable it by editing the user vars at the top of the Race_Engineer.lua file.
Compatibility:
If FIA App installed it must be at least v3.0.0.
Min CSP 0.2.6
This app is designed for offline use. (Some parts may work online, but it is untested.)
