It’s almost here!
That’s right. The image above was rendered just a few minutes ago and marks the beginning of the end of my work on version 0.5.6.
It’s the first image of the second day in the game, and it belongs to Emma’s route. That means it covers everything that happens at the end of the first day and the start of the second, for those who picked her right before MC’s fainting a while back.
The rendering work for this version finally ends today. I’ve got around 10 to 12 images left. After that, starting tomorrow, I’ll begin the coding part and that’s it. In about a week and a half at most, version 0.5.6 will be released, which also means version 0.5.5 will finally become public.
Version 0.5.6 currently includes over 700 new images and 16 animations. That’s why it’s taken this long. It’s not just a small glimpse of what happens when you pick Asami (included in version 0.5.5), Rachel, Pamela, or Emma, it’s a whole bunch of completely different events that even reach the start of the next day.
So just a few more days of waiting and the download’s coming!

700 new images and 16 animations! You are crazy man! Crazy in a fantastic way. Can't wait to see the Pamela scene, and I really love the idea of jealousy and competition instead of just harem management.
Maybe I’m setting expectations too high. There are 16 animations, but not all of them are perfect, like I said in a previous post. I decided to make several as a learning process, and it helped me (I think xD). Now I know where I messed up and how to avoid some stuff. By the way, DAZ has a problem I’ve never figured out how to fix… the nails keep changing color almost constantly, and unfortunately, that’s pretty common in almost every game I’ve seen that uses DAZ, and mine’s no exception. Since I have to create so many scenes, it’s just impossible to constantly tweak the nail settings. The fingernails sometimes look normal and bright, and then suddenly they’re almost black or reddish. Nothing I can do about it...
Be aware, this isn’t your typical game where you just pick a route and call it done. Choosing one of the four girls at the start doesn’t really mean that’s your fixed path. For instance, if you pick Rachel, you’ll get some new exclusive scenes and dialogues for that temporary storyline and earn relationship points with her. Those points can sometimes unlock new stuff too. But in the end, every girl is part of a bigger whole, a harem, including some who weren’t even in that first group, like Kaoru, Megan and Josephine. Repeatedly choosing Rachel might actually cause problems later, like jealousy from the others. On the flip side, if you neglect her too much, that could cause trouble too, ’cause she’s really jealous. I like a bit of randomness in the morning. So, that’ll also affect some things related to relationships. Just like MC’s possible death, I’m pretty sure some of you volunteered on purpose just to see what would happen, and even though you tried, nothing happened to you, while others died for doing the same. If you stop and think about it, the alternate route hasn’t even given you a similar girl choice, and actually that won’t happen. Still, by now it should be clear that even with a harem, this isn’t about managing it. It’s about people, emotions, and competition. I’m really glad because in the next update (0.6), you’ll finally get what I’ve been talking about. If you thought there weren’t enough choices before, you’re in for a surprise in a few months.
Can already tell once the game's finished I'll be obsessing over every route and choice for weeks. All that being said, Rachel is still going to be the first route I pursue, I like all the main heroines a good bit, but she's still my favorite so far.
