Weekly Report Number 86.
Good morning everyone.
First of all, before you start freaking out wondering what the hell those images are, that’s everything that’s been rendered so far for version 0.5.6.
Yup, that’s the list of images, the render queue. I’ll explain it in more detail later. First, the numbers.
This week, 265 images were rendered. They’re divided into 84 regular images and 181 animation frames.
Alright, back to the topic of the render queue images. This is my daily work. These images, taken directly from DAZ every day, are what help me keep track for the weekly reports, often accompanied by some explanatory text because things aren’t always what they seem. The raw images can be misleading... For example, if 40 images are rendered in a single day, the screenshot can’t show them all at once, so I have to take an extra pic that might include some repeated from the first. Other times, the screenshot only shows part of what was rendered because there’s no need to capture more. After all, it’s mostly for me to keep count.
But, all in all, from the first day of September when the rendering work for version 0.5.6 started up, until early this morning, 474 regular images and 2118 animation frames have been created.
Actually, more than that has been rendered, especially when it comes to animation frames, since not all of them turn out right on the first try. Sometimes you only notice stupid little mistakes when you’re about to make the video with the already rendered images.
And I’m still not done. Today I’m starting the render of the last animation from Pamela’s route. After that, I’ll do a few extra images for the end of day one. And finally, the result of Emma’s choice, which is actually a much shorter task than the previous ones.
Oh, I’m not sure if I’ve said this publicly before, and I’m definitely not crazy enough to start checking every old post to see what I’ve said publicly and what I haven’t. So... version 0.5.5 updates both routes at the same time, and in the original path, you see the result of choosing Asami right before MC faints. Version 0.5.6 completes all the choices before the fainting. Obviously, all the sequences are different... so right now, I’m basically working on three alternate realities at the same time.
Moving on, I’ve got what life inside the reality show will be like for the first 20 days. Why only 20 and not 30? Because after that, things are gonna change, and I can’t reveal any more details 😝
Day 1 = Nothing (day off)
Day 2 = 1st competition
Day 3 = 1st intermission
Day 4 = Day off and team selection for the fortress
Day 5 = 1st elimination
Day 6 = 2nd intermission
Day 7 = 2nd competition
Day 8 = Day off and team selection for the fortress
Day 9 = 3rd competition
Day 10 = 2nd elimination
Day 11 = 3rd intermission
Day 12 = Day off and team selection for the fortress
Day 13 = 4th competition
Day 14 = 4th intermission
Day 15 = 3rd elimination
Day 16 = Day off and team selection for the fortress
Day 17 = 5th competition
Day 18 = 5th intermission
Day 19 = Day off
Day 20 = 4th elimination and team selection for the fortress
If you take a look, there are a few days with something called "Intermission". Those days have special events with heavy sexual content, tied to what Emma talked about, the ones that can give a score boost. Well, sort of, you’ll find out why later...
To wrap things up, I’ve got something unpleasant to share. Some of you discovered this game through Oppaiman. I used to post updates there, yeah, past tense. You should never close yourself off to different options, and since Oppaiman worked with the Patreon API, it was a pretty decent alternative, kind of like an extension of Patreon, an extra push.
Yesterday, I cut ties with them. You won’t find my game there anymore because it’s been "unpublished". I did it... The problem is, I don’t know if the people at Oppaiman are just really dumb or really sneaky and trying to get clever.
Yesterday they made a change on the site. They added the option for people to actually buy updates without subscribing, but they didn’t give any notice and didn’t implement things the way they should have. They don’t take into account that there are developers like me who can’t receive money directly in a bank account. Or maybe I could if I really had to and looked into things thoroughly, but always trying to do it cheaply somehow, because normally nothing is free and I’m not willing to pay commissions to banks and also to Oppaiman without any prior notice.
And that brings up the million-dollar question: if someone buys the game and the developer can’t complete their profile with the required banking info, where does that money go?
They keep it.
So, Oppaiman, you were good while you lasted, but I’m not gonna let anyone treat me like trash. It’s not enough for them to sneak around messaging big developers while ignoring smaller ones, now they also want to screw over anyone not ready for their unannounced changes. No thanks.
That’s exactly why yesterday I updated my post for Light of my Life and put direct links to the developer’s Patreon and removed the Oppaiman ones. No more advertising Oppaiman. I’m thinking ahead about real cross-promotions since I’m in contact with other developers, especially Spanish-speaking ones. You have no idea how many Spanish speakers are making hot games xD
There’s all kinds, some smaller than me and others much bigger. Did you know the creator of "Eternum" is a Spanish speaker?
I’m not saying I’ll ever do cross-promotion with someone that big, but hey, dreaming is free 🤣
💖💖💖
Oh, here are the only images from the upcoming version 0.5.6 that I can reveal publicly. You know, I can’t make compromising images public because of Patreon policies...

Do you know something interesting? I've read a different reason for leaving Oppaiman from each developer 😆. I follow another dev who also left because of a policy change that required him to promote Oppaiman twice a month to keep his game visible on the site. He was furious because he believes that the highest-rated games should have the visibility and that he shouldn't have to spam his community with promos and ads all the time. It's what you said about Spanish-speaking devs. I only recently started to suspect it myself. I follow another dev who uses GMT -4 for updates, which I think is only used in Chile 😏.
Oppaiman (the site) went through a ton of changes lately, and they lost a bunch of developers. The main issue is that for the past few months there’s been something called a Shadowban. Oppaiman has a good number of games, but only around 70 to 90 (roughly) actually show up. If you don’t meet a certain “sales” quota, you get completely hidden from visibility on the site. You can’t even be found if someone searches for your name or your game directly. You just disappear... That’s why I handled things smartly, promoted myself, and even managed to promote two other external games. In fact, Light of My Life is shadowbanned there. If you go to Oppaiman and look for it, you won’t find it. I’m not stupid, and I still found a way to promote it anyway, ’cause if you really want something, you can make it happen :P You don’t need to bother your audience with constant posts promoting other games just to stay visible. For me, the real problem is the lies, the bad decisions one after another, and doing things behind people’s backs... That’s what finally broke my patience. To put it another way, the games you see in the different categories are just a façade. For example, what you see under Top Free Games aren’t really the top ones. They’re just the free games that promote Oppaiman the most. And it’s the same story with all the other categories.
👍👌🏼💯
Love it, keep up the great work.
Thank you for keeping us updated. I hope that you will find some way how to overcome big companies milking the small ones. Looking forward to next things and wish you good mood.
