Light of my Life

Nearly five years ago, the death of your wife left you in charge of your two young wards. You tried to be the best caregiver you could, but all three of you were scarred and hurt by the sudden loss of the light in your lives.

Now your wards have become grown-up adults, and the grief you share has pushed you apart. Will you be able to overcome the barriers of your own making and help your wards rekindle the light in their hearts?

Light of my Life is a lighthearted erotic Visual Novel about love and loss, featuring a diverse cast of characters. As the head of the house, you are doing your best to provide for your loved ones at home, and navigate events at work.

This game includes chapters 1 through 7. Chapter 8 is currently in development, and will be released separately (and you can carry over your choices).

As a personal note, I’ve played this, and that’s why I decided to share it with you. Frankly speaking, the characters are physically ugly. I suspect it was a personal choice from the developer, maybe to prove a point... and dear god, that point came across loud and clear. Physical appearance doesn’t matter, you’ll end up loving the game anyway, especially the two main characters. I’m not the kind of person who usually plays stuff like this, ’cause before trying something, I tend to look at pictures to see if it catches my eye. The first time I saw it, I didn’t really like what I saw and just moved on... A few weeks later, after seeing tons of positive reviews, I finally decided to give it a try. No regrets at all. Excellent game.

The story deals with a pretty taboo subject, one I can’t even talk about here in public (no joke). But unlike other games with a similar kind of theme, this one actually makes the story believable. There’s plenty of dialogue, the plot gets pretty heavy at times, and those are all pluses for me. It’s not all about the “action”, and because of that, everything makes sense once you put yourself in the MC’s shoes. It’s got its flaws, like most things do. Maybe it gets a bit repetitive near the end, but if you give it a try, what really sticks are the good moments.

That's all for now. See you all this Thursday, since the next weekly report will be Public.

Take care.

Edition of the edition: Sorry, I removed the links to Oppaiman and added a direct link to the author’s Patreon, since a few minutes ago I cut ties with Oppaiman. What they’re doing right now doesn’t look good at all. I’ll talk about it in the report.

Really loved LOML. Graphic style is different -- a bit funky but really interesting and and very meticulously done -- that is part of the charm and what makes this game unique and actually beautiful. You grow to love and care about those around you in the game. Also has sad and happy moments and some hilarious characters and scenes sprinkled in. Pretty emotional as it nears the end - laughed and cried a little bit... :-) While LOML may not be for everyone - I loved it and decided to support on patreon. Now that LOML is almost complete, dev is starting new game. Looking forward to seeing what is next...

Reading the synopsis at the start of this post and then the word "ward" gives you an idea of what's going on 🤣. At least they changed the classic landlady naming, but seeing the characters doesn't help much. The story may be captivating, but I'm not interested in sex here 😆.

I don’t judge in that way, it’s just fantasy anyway. But I am picky about the plot and how the characters look. Like, if I play something for like half an hour and it’s kinda "normal", I skip it, game over. I’ve gone through enough boring normal stuff… And if the characters’ proportions are over the top or ugly, I skip it too. This one fell into that last category. But luckily I came to my senses later xD
