People that are just too kind...

There are people out there who are just too good for this messed-up world...

Early this morning, one of you basically gifted me the graphics card I was planning to buy in March... and didn’t ask for anything in return. He just sent me almost 300 bucks in one go, just like that...

At first, when he told me what he wanted to do, I couldn’t help but think it had to be some kind of joke. I’m not used to people being this generous, and because of bad experiences, I’m always a bit cautious (you know, Asperger’s)... But this morning, I realized it was real.

I’m not a sentimental person, whether it’s just how I am or because I’ve gotten used to keeping emotions in check, but I straight-up let out a huge OMFG!!!

So, next week, we’re getting a 12GB RTX 3060 to replace my outdated piece of junk. Maybe that same day or a few after, I’ll grab a new power supply (still running on the same garbage I tried to swap out a couple of months ago) along with an external hard drive to back up everything related to the game... and that should keep things running smoothly for a good while.

This is all thanks to you guys. I haven’t even touched a cent from my actual paycheck. I feel lucky because things are going my way. A lot of devs spend years on this and never even break the hundred-dollar-a-month mark... A lot of them don’t even make it past version 0.1 before giving up. Doing this is tough sometimes, especially time-wise, and some people get their hopes up too high, only to crash against the wall of reality...

This is a marathon, and I’m happy to say I’m not tired in the slightest. Huge thanks to all of you, seriously... And especially to you, you know who you are... you’ve been beyond amazing.
