Some wonders of the AVN world.
Well, since I have tomorrow free and I already have the scenes ready to render and then go to sleep, I want to dedicate myself to a task that I have neglected. Recommendations...
Patreon has had a new Recommendations feature for a while now, where developers can recommend the work of other peers. Surely some of you remember a recommendation I made a while ago and then it went to hell because my "colleague" didn't finish things correctly (in my humble opinion) and the game became the last season of "Game of Thrones" or the end of "Lost"... I hope this time it's different because each of the games I'm going to name has something unique that makes them stand out from the rest and it would be a real shame if they ended badly, although I honestly doubt it.
I've played all of these games at some point. All of them are still in development. I could just use the Patreon interface to make the recommendation and that's it, but I think that would be a bit disrespectful because the few words that we are allowed in that mode are not enough for you to understand anything...
There is no specific order, the last one on this list can be as good as the first one.
- Ripples: I'm not a fan of the graphic style (HS) but I decided to try it at the time and it was worth it. The story is entertaining, good animations and crazy things. It has the craziest sex scene I've ever seen in this type of game, a real unforgettable little gem because of how ridiculous it is but very well executed, and the truth is, not at all out of place. You have to see it to understand it.
- Light of my Life: I once told you about this game. It touches on a rather taboo subject in a credible way. It's the best of its genre precisely for that reason and also for achieving it with characters that are physically rather ugly.
Anyone can think "why am I going to play this if the characters are ugly"... Because it's almost a masterpiece in terms of developing a bond between the characters and the player. There are two female protagonists (MC's daughters) that despite their physical appearance you will end up loving. It has its flaws, it becomes a bit monotonous at the end, maybe it was longer than it should have been, but the central merit is still there.
- The Seven Realms: Immersive story and above all, animations at another level. Frankly, even if I had the physical means to achieve something like this, it would probably still be impossible without several years of practice, and maybe I still couldn't do something similar. You can see the professionalism in each animation. Several hours of guaranteed entertainment and a visual delight.
- Artemis: A science fiction story. The plot is excellent and little by little it draws you in... especially when you meet "Artemis". The world is alive, not like in other games where the streets are empty regardless of whether it's broad daylight. There is real concern in every sense. In particular there are some scenes in a Mall with literally hundreds of people on screen.
- Summer's Gone: Visually a work of art and with animations that are also out of this world. As if that weren't enough, the story, despite being quite "dark" is very good. Our MC is different from the vast majority of AVN's. At first you might think he has Asperger's, but in reality he is a normal man. He lost someone very dear and was never the same again. He is still "in mourning". The only downside: the developer takes longer than he should because he has another parallel project...
- The Headmaster: I'm not a fan of "Sandbox" games because they tend to be very repetitive and keep you grinding for a long time to almost always deliver minimal things. But this is not the case.
The story has quite twisted things, so watch out there. But ultimately it's that same "twist" that ends up enveloping you and little by little you normalize things that perhaps in other circumstances you would never have thought of.
A very well thought out game in its Sandbox aspect. You never run out of things to try, although sometimes some situations may repeat themselves (remember that it's still in development). Lots of quests that keep you playing... and when you think you are getting to the end of everything... bam. You realize that this was only the first half of the game and they give you new quests and lots of new opportunities and story development. A must-play, although perhaps not for everyone.
Why haven't I recommended things like Being a Dik? Simply because I can't recommend someone who takes a year between updates. For me it's not normal, it's not ethical, even if there are almost 6000 images per update and there are minigames and animations. It's too much, especially knowing the tremendous machine that the developer has to make the render work (remember that I render with a 2gb GTX 1050). And besides, is there anyone who really doesn't know about BaD? I doubt it...
I'm going to sleep now. If in a few hours you receive an email with the recommendations, don't pay attention to it because it's something I can't avoid when using Patreon's own recommendation system and if you see this post that's more than enough.
See you.
