Questions & Answers v0.1a and v0.2... and more.
Why does a simple decision (give in to Sally and Cassandra or not) end up having such different results?
In a word, realism.
Surely more than someone knows about a butterfly flapping its wings and as a result of that, things happen on the other side of the world that perhaps shouldn't happen... That's called the "butterfly effect" and I wanted to capture that here.
If you reject Sally and Casandra's advances, Emma and Rachel will be faced with MC's compromising situation before Casandra can do her thing. Rachel won't be distracted and will definitely keep the brats away peacefully.
If you give in, Casandra will get to do her thing because MC never yelled NO and therefore Emma and Rachel will arrive a few seconds later because they didn't know the exact location. By the time they notice the situation, Casandra was already at work and Rachel becomes totally absorbed watching the spectacle. That's why she never intervenes and avoids the little fight between Emma and Sally, which we already know how it ends...
There seem to be some inconsistencies with the competitors' lack of knowledge about the consequences of the "game" and its setup...
Inconsistencies?...
All signed a contract that obviously hid information from them, without really knowing what they were getting themselves into. I can tell you something, there is only one person whose story has not yet been told, who knew everything perfectly well, and wanted to be here. As for the others, not even Emma, who had already seen part of the show before, knew or suspected that she would end up inside this particular show.
Taking that into consideration, that's why there are people from all walks of life locked up together. Some are just looking for fun, others really need the money, Emma needs the money and to shorten her sentence, Rachel is looking to overcome her "fear" of socializing...
Why haven't we been able to choose our team?
I have previously explained what can happen when you have a large number of characters and EVERYTHING is optional, but to make it easier to find the answer (and understand it) I will explain it here...
If I left total freedom of choice the game would never be completed.
An example, imagine that I give the choice of having Asami on the team or not having her and being able to choose between any of the others (Karen, Sally, Casandra or Miranda)... That would mean that all the images from then on must be consistent with the choice.
If I choose Sally, I have to render hundreds of images with her and that also affects dialogues and various situations that must change because they all have different personalities. If I choose Miranda, the same thing, another bunch of renderings, conversations, different situations. Now suppose you can also choose someone else and not Pamela... It would be a complete chaos impossible for one person to handle.
I'm very sorry but the initial team must be something pre-established. Anyway, I can also tell you that sooner rather than later, the team will have more members and depending on previous MC elections (which is partly why the variable system already implemented), one of the new possible members will decide to stay on our team or not.
I'm not convinced that they all fall for MC so easily, the behavior of the women does not seem coherent.
Sorry, but I think that's maybe lack of attention to detail...
Emma, she doesn't "fall" for MC. Knowing the situation she is exposed to, she is not sure who to follow until the last moment, when she talks to Jordan off camera.
Before that, and shortly after finding the brats playing with MC, she tries to prove a point (that MC is perhaps being too soft, that he's not cut out to survive here) and thus almost falls into her own game. But she's still insecure...
In short, Emma ultimately chose to be with MC because she had no other choice, but if Jordan's situation and his injury had been different, she might have taken a different path.
Rachel, she is a lonely person. She is not normal when socializing, she almost always prefers not to, she is not comfortable with new people around her. That's a very real Asperger characteristic, here I have not invented anything in relation to the subject.
MC realizes that Rachel may be just like her sister (who also has Asperger's) and tries to make her feel comfortable, and certainly understands her completely because he already knows about it. Rachel is the only woman seen so far who falls for MC. And that's because she feels good about him. She feels that he understands her, which to her, who lives in her own world apart, has never happened before.
So yes, she falls in love easily. And I repeat, I'm not inventing anything in relation to people with Asperger's. Not even the fact that at one point Rachel refers to normal people as "neurotypical".
Sally and Casandra... They never fall. All they do is follow their own agenda, trying to mess with the first man they catch and gain his trust (and protection) at the cost of sexual favors.
Pamela and Asami... In the story of both, the strong point is Pamela.
Pamela listens to almost all of Emma and MC's conversation, also keep in mind that Pamela is almost a nymphomaniac who rarely says no to having a good time... and also she is not stupid and knows about Jordan's problem.
By simple logic, she prefers to stay with MC and deliberately drags Asami with her... On the other hand, Asami had Jordan as her first option, but realizing that her friend (Pamela and Asami have been friends for a long time, this will become clear within the game later) was obviously going to opt for MC and also knowing Jordan's problem... Well, everything is clear, I guess.
Finally, Karen and Miranda... Both for their own reasons obviously don't want anything to do with MC.
Several of the female characters seem physically unattractive...
Well, there is nothing written in tastes. Remember that one person's trash can be another's treasure.
But yes, since before starting to render the first images, it has never been my intention to fall into the repeated resource of putting extremely voluptuous women with dreamlike faces. I prefer to be more realistic, even if it costs me to gain followers who want to jerk off watching pixels that simulate tits that look like they're about to burst and butts that can swallow the Titanic 🤣
In fact, not long ago, I gave my followers the option to create a character who would be important... No one put a gun to their heads and they all ended up designing a female character with a more or less normal appearance... The people gave their opinion and by majority they opted for normality.
Writing, sentences, grammar, structure etc all need some more attention, maybe get someone that is proficient in English to check your dialogue before release.
That's a real observation made in a review by someone at F95...
Unfortunately that is something currently unthinkable, a luxury that I cannot afford, and in fact no new developer can afford it. Because there are people who dedicate themselves to that, but it's not for free. My natural language is Spanish and I can handle English quite well (I think... maybe... I hope so).
I will never commit the atrocity of confusing something as basic as THAN and THEN (this is real, I've seen it, there are people who don't know the difference and create AVN's). But yes, there is a great possibility that to someone who knows a lot of English or to someone who uses it naturally as their first language, my texts will look strange. And there is nothing to do, that's life...
We need More lewd...
Patience, patience... In this latest version (0.2) it has already been established that there will be a lot of that, but patience.
When are you going to follow the development of the secondary path, where Sally dies?
Excellent question. The next update (0.2b) will be minor. Just updating the Menu, redoing all the images that contained the first version of Emma and completing Asami and Emma's interactions at the end of version 0.2...
After that I continue precisely with that branch. My idea is that updates alternate between branches, one at a time. Until the time comes when they both meet again (I have already talked about this before). Yep, they will both meet at some point because I can't allow "multiverses" where each branch strays too far from the main trunk because I plan to complete this game and not leave it abandoned. I need control.
Are you going to create a Discord?
I was planning to do it when this grew a little more. You read that right... I said it in the past tense.
After a lot of discussions regarding Tags, I went to the F95 developers forum (yep, we have a private forum) to ask for opinions.
In addition to convincing myself to stay away from "fights" there, I have learned some pretty unpleasant things...
There are people on Discord who have made death threats because a game is not going the direction they want. The F95 community itself isn't a "fair player" sometimes either, and I found out that a couple of years ago they had a game end abruptly because its developer got tired of the complaints, bad comments and review bombing...
I'm not going to stress out, my goal is to make a game. If you want, you can use the community chat that I have created here, or ask a question in the comments, but creating my Discord and managing it seems like a terrible idea to me right now, because it's also almost the same thing that you can already do here. Maybe in the future, but not near.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that's all for now... Some are real questions, others are created by me to clear up doubts. If something comes up to you, just ask and I will respond as soon as possible.

Personally I don't mind the girls' varying appearances. It's just realistic that in a group with so many people, you will find some less attractive or just plain ugly. Glad to see that you're also keeping in mind how adding too many variables / options can make the game a development nightmare - not being able to select the team didn't bother me much as it seems like you can switch members at later stages. Anyway - awesome game! Like the overall premise and character dev.
Thank you very much for everything 😊
