Monthly Summary!
We didn't make much progress in July; there was the post-MIW break and a weekend where I went to a local retro gaming event.
However, we remain committed to upgrading the DC Task Force characters. I could be riding the hype wave for X-Men '97 or the new Spider-Man movie, but I’m not going to lose focus.
Right now, I'm working on the letter "H," applying the following updates to each character in the game:
- Colors
- Sliding movement on the first punch of the combo
- Changing the taunt to Down, Down + Attack
- Special move (no energy cost) for Down, Forward + Attack
- Uppercut/anti-air move for Up, Up + Attack
- Ability to change direction while jumping
- Updating combos to the new input commands
It’s a tedious process—I’d rather be working on new characters—but leaving the boring stuff for last is even worse; I’ve seen projects die that way. I’ll keep showing the process for some characters throughout the week, even if view counts are low.
Thanks for the support! I should finish this phase by the end of the month.
