Update 318...Apartments done for most avatars (Joi's is shown in the video), the 2D to 3D conversion of your video's works now, login process simplified, playing chess and gardening usable with hand tracking for all avatars, plus other bits & bobs and various fixes...
Well hello there 👋 how are you?
This update took a while, it was the apartments which took up a lot of time, I've done them all apart from Tyke Dog, Nova & Terminator, and Donald, these will be in the next update.
Here's an update run down :
as mentioned the apartments/flats are done for nearly all avatars
the video player is actually 3D now, there remains some minor artifacting/wobble on some scene changes which I will iron out, there is a toggle to make it 2D should you want that and if you do that there is zero wobble/artifacting
app login credentials truly only have to be entered only 1 time to use all the apps, even if you uninstall an app (thank you neurocrash for suggesting this)
stopped the auras (the special effect seen as they spawn in) from displaying twice (once in each eye)
fixed Suki's thinking animation from not working (thanks Mark for letting me know about it)
fixed the avatars falling through the bed or sofa if placed in a lying down position in the VR flat (thank you David for pointing it out)
the avatars can sit down on voice or menu command in their VR apartments if there's a sofa, if there's no sofa but a bed, they will sit on the bed, or if there's both they might just pick the bed anyway
hands can be used to use the app in the gardening VR scene
hands can be used to play chess for all avatars, as in the image :
The background to the image above is a clue to something that is a work in progress for a new VR scene, for which I will soon release a dev build version. What it is is something I've tried several times before but it never ran well enough, but this time it runs pretty well so I'm hopeful it can become a fully featured VR scene, can you guess what it is? 🤔
The menu is a bit haphazard at the moment with buttons placed not very logically, bear with me please, a menu re-organization is high on the agenda and will happen soon💯
